Went for Sunday lunch ,and my Husband been a chef for 40 yrs and you can guarantee he will find fault with some thing ,but when we had lunch in the Ton absolutely no complaints from him we hit the bulls eye going again this Sunday. Went here to celerbrate a 50th Wedding Anniversary. Had Sunday lunch really lovely. Then homemade trifle for desert. Very friendly staff and locals. Will definitely go back again.

A real gem of a place we were staying at the campsite in the Dare Valley Country Park, its just under a mile to walk to the pub either via the lake a more flatter route or by the closed dare road which is more hilly. The food is fantastic and the hosts really lovely. We ate on our first night at the park and as we couldn't decide what to have on the first night we felt we needed to return again to try the other options. The prices are competitive and the portions generous. I would highly recommend and we will be back again when we visit the area.
