I started my Personal Training journey with Declan Murphy just over 2 years ago at a previous gym and followed him here in his new venture. Fitcess is a family and everyone is made to feel very welcome and join in as much or as little as they wish. Dec has certainly turned my life around from a fitness and diet point of view and I would truly recommend him. No it isn't cheap but if you want results and you want to look and feel different it's worth the investment. I have PT with Dec 3-4 Times a week but you can do what fits best with you. It's a tailored service and the benefits are huge. I love being part of the family at Fitcess gained lots of new friends too. If you're not sure give it a go you won't be disappointed. Good luck and thanks Dec for everything xx

Ridiculously grateful that I discovered Fitcess! I can’t thank Aidan and Fitcess team enough for what they’ve done for me. Currently 8 weeks into PT with Aidan and have noticed massive changes in my overall fitness and body shape, the tummy is on it’s way out and toned legs are in! Every workout is challenging and sets me up to improve week after week and I always find myself doing something new every week, never gets boring!

I started training at Fitcess just after Christmas with not an awful lot of knowledge with exercise and overall fitness. My goal was to become fitter and stronger, both mentally and physically. The training I receive from the coaches is second to none, as the classes are small but that gives the best 1-2-1 advice, helping me improve my techniques and challenge me to become better. The biggest thing for me is the community in the gym, it's like one big family! I would definitely recommend Fitcess Gym to anyone who wants to get fit, and I'm so happy I came across it and joined! Best decision of my life!

I originally started at Fitcess to lose weight and improve fitness. Group training was a little different then but I loved my sessions. I started training with coach Thomas as part of the barbell academy and I've been hooked ever since. My training now solely consists of weightlifting with coach Thomas and I still feel like a newbie to the sport. You are always learning in weightlifting and the mental side of the sport is a factor, not just the physical. The knowledge and passion Thomas has for the sport is a credit to himself but his patience for me as an athlete is second to none. He adapts his training method for all his athletes and listens to and encourages feedback for the programmes he writes. Coach Thomas pushes me when I can't push myself, meaning that on the bad days we still move, and more importantly we move on and we prep ourselves for our next session. His support and knowledge continues outside of our sessions and he is always responsive to questions I have about the sport. I really can't recommend coach Thomas enough.

Great staff, great place, great team!

After being a typical yo-yo dieter and trying multiple weight loss programmes, I've finally found a gym that I enjoy attending. The sessions are held at prefect times for me, as I can go straight from work. The trainers really know how to push you to the limit.

If you want help focusing on strength, endurance, technique, support with nutrition or working hard then this is the place for you!

Fitcess has an inability to keep staff and as such their offering is very dependent on who you get teaching/working with you the trainers that come and go in my experience have been excellent, however the ones who stay are not. Communication is extraordinarily poor and payment system faulty. The videos are excellent, but not representative of the offering.

I went through a 20 session programme with Tom, one of the Fitcess personal trainers. I already had clear goals set for myself, but am confident that if I was entering into this programme without clear goals then Tom's methods and experience would have quickly established suitable goals and built the programme around them.

Tom's process involves setting an exploratory task, observing and correcting form as you execute it, seeking your feedback, then using that feedback to plan out tasks to perform at home/in daily life, and to plan the next exploratory task. This process allowed us to quickly zero in on the mechanical causes of the problems in my body and exercise regime.

Because of Tom's method of explore, correct, incorporate feedback I have been able to quickly build good knowledge and habits in working out that I can execute at home or elsewhere. I feel that I got far better value from my time at Fitcess specifically because we discussed how I can support progress in the gym with small but frequent work at home.

Unfortunately I cannot continue to attend Fitcess, as I was only in Preston for a short period. However I believe that the knowledge and strength I gained through spending time working with Tom has already led to me achieving my short-term goals, and will support my progress in medium and long-term goals.
