Fatboys Joint Afghan Canteen

Absolutely amazing. Food, service, surroundings, atmosphere, spaciousness, all brilliant. Very nice staff, the taste of the food was fantastic, relatively cheap compared to other places I've been which sell the same type of food but never has it tasted as good as it tasted here. Hats off to the staff, really took care of us recommended dishes which were perfect and also stopped us from ordering too much. Most places would be happy to let you order too much but he was very helpful and suggested we get that much first and if we finish that then we can order more. Ended up not being able to finish that either! Also gave us some of the homemade lemonade which was exceptionally tasty. Will be back here for sure.

This place is great, we've never had a bad meal here AND they do these Afghan/Pakistani style burgers which are unlike anything I've ever had. We asked the manager about them and he said ever since the US occupation Afghans have been making their own versions of the classic burger, so he thought he'd bring some over here and share the love. Food's always better when there's a story behind it!

I was looking forward to visiting this place after seeing the reviews, I walked in at around 4 when there was only 1 other customer sat down. After looking at the menu (i was handed a clipboard which had a4 copies), surely you can do better than that! I went to order and just waited, the guy that served me initially was quite abrupt, another gentlemen then suggested a few items off the menu, I was given a complimentary peanut butter milkshake which wasn't that bad, I ordered a lamb kebab wrap which was quite bland and not much taste to it, I have to say it did look presentable, I don't come to Crawley that often but I can't say I would visit here again. I was offered free WiFi which was a nice touch.

Very traditional touch of Pakistani and afghani cuisine.
Staff is really very passionate and proud of what they do. They speak to customers thoroughly about their experience and share knowledge with stories.
Service was fantastic. I had chapli kabab burger, it had very specific Pakistani northern style cooked touch to it.
I hope they succeed in what they do as it’s really worth it trying.

Pretty good food. The burgers are really good. If you're after some quirky burgers and finger licking fries this is the place with their mint sauce. The chicken tikka was nice but the seekh kebab looking thing was not cooked well. Look at pictures, you'll know what I mean.

We ordered 2x deal 6 amongst other meals and after waiting nearly 1.5hrs for it we didn't receive what we ordered. Instead of chicken fillets we were sent chicken burgers. We called them and explained the error. They admitted it was their error but offered no resolution other than take the chicken out of the bun and wipe off the mayo and lettuce( these were for 2 boys aged 7&9 who don't eat mayo). Also the chips that came with these burgers were hard and dry like they had been reheated rather than freshly cooked.

Incredible food, wonderfully warm and friendly service. The food looked picture perfect and was absolutely delicious. Only complaint - they don't deliver to Scotland so we'll have to fly down again to get seconds!!!
Sincerely one of the best meals I've ever eaten.

Do not buy from this place
The food arrived cold. The meat was tough, uncooked prawns and also uncleaned.
The rice was plain and not even salt to give it a bit of taste nothing, the only thing that was there food colouring in the rice.
I called the restaurant and asked if i could bring the football back and give us our money back, he refused and started making himself of victim saying stop calling me, call just eat instead, the experience was horrible.
Again do not buy from there and do not waste your money.
