Lovely department store with a broad selection of items.

Displays are always gorgeous and you could honestly spend a whole day shopping in here because it's massive! There's nice loos and there's lifts too. You can come in via the side entrance if you want to avoid walking through the Westfield Shopping Centre.

Great place for shopping for bargains on electronics as the store has lots of cabinets with reduced/returned items at a good price.

Two stars as John Lewis products and displays are very good. But not five stars because a few John Lewis staff ruined what had already been a difficult day: the sales assistant I overheard telling another customer it was so good to actually be dealing with an intelligent customer, the insinuation being the rest of us are thick duffers. And then a huge queue at one of the checkouts, so I went to the front area to ask two staff standing there if there was somewhere else I could pay. I was informed it was take it or leave it re the tills with the huge queue. So I said I'll just return the items to the shelves I got them from. On my way there, I came across another staff member; I asked if I could speak with a manager. She offered to send a message. While with her one of the two sales assistants I just spoke with sauntered over. By this point the queue had gone, and I'd decided to buy the things I'd got. This *gentleman* scoffed that I'd said there was a queue, as if I'd been lying earlier! He further went on to say queues were good! Yes, for John Lewis, but not for customers. I did eventually speak with a manager. Unfortunately I'm not convinced she was that sympathetic, although she was very pleasant. Nevertheless, I got the equivalent of "No one's complained before". I suggested she look at the John Lewis reviews.
It's the only department store I've encountered what I did re thick customers, being a liar, and queues are good. Retail and dealing with customers isn't always easy. But I'd expected more from John Lewis.

No customer service whatsoever. Three of us stood like lemons waiting to be served while 4 so call partners chatted to each other.
When I asked if they were serving I was told we're dealing with a customer, all 4 of them.
We went to another till where a very helpful girl served us but there was a discrepancy with the price.
We ended up at the original till and mutterings were heard about its only 50p difference, well hundreds of 50p's is a lot of profit for J Lewis.
If we weren't so tired we would have gone elsewhere and probably will in future.
Let's hope the bad apples do not spoil the future for J Lewis. @

We booked a nursery consultation today with William and he was approachable and extremely helpful. He understood my needs and offered solutions which would fit in with our lives. William also helped us think of things we had completely forgotten about and wasn't trying to sell the most 'expensive' item either. He followed up within an hour and had emailed across all of the items we had discussed and I left today feeling calmer and more prepared. I will also be contacting HO because of the amazing level of customer service I received.

John Lewis is gearing up for the Christmas period. The store has been well planned and the designers have done a good job. Prices are at the higher end compared with other stores but quality is very good. Always enjoy walking through the store and looking around.

A complete store for household and individual requirement. Though price is quite high as compare to other competitors. But quality of products attracts buyers to get their requirements fulfilled by the famous brand. They Need to work on kitchen items , specially crockery.

I love John Lewis ànd go here regularly, either to shop or browse the new stuff coming in. the customer assistants are always polite and the perks are really good. It also helps if you have a gift card to spend. I like the upstairs cafe, it's peaceful, quiet and you can eat undisturbed with no hurry. I recently bought 2 new pairs of jlab go air pop headphones for £19.99. They're rather good, and with 32+ hours playtime and with funky shades of lilac and teal blue colours, they'll more than help on my travels. Happy days. Love the any day bedding range. I find they're well made and within my budget.
