TGI Fridays - Fareham

TGI"s is always good for a party size group and it always seems that no size party is too big a party for TGI's on any night if the week. The food at the Fareham branch was great, big thanks to the chef that night they were doing a great job, although I would prefer them to return to the smaller chicken wings and not the supersized one's they had that night. Service from some of the staff was above and beyond particularly Maddie and Tilly (I think that was her name) I'm not sure I've had better service in any other restaurant, they did a fab job, very attentive and polite and thank god for them because our welcome at the door was far from what I was expecting, I came very close to leaving, maybe a bit more training on how to meet and greet is needed for that member of staff, I couldn't see their name properly. Despite the poor welcome at the door I will probably return another time.

Extremely poor experience visiting last week.

Poor service included having to request menus multiple times to different servers, the server getting our food order wrong (and the tables next to us were also incorrect and unhappy).

Poor food quality...these are the "Super loaded cheese bacon fries" ...if you would call that cheese loaded?! But then again the fries were stone cold so what should we have expected any better really?

Then having waited with no servers to be found we had to go to the welcome greeter to request to pay so we could leave, as we had already spent >10 minutes waiting for the bill.

Very poor service + average food quality = not value for money. I would recommend avoiding.

The store has gone down hill since rebranding as "Fridays"... Bring back TGI!

Very friendly staff, food was so hot out of the kitchen, tasted 10/10, quickly service

I've been to TGI's a few in the past and I always remember the place to be fun and welcoming with good food. However, today's meal was a little different. We got in, sat down and after looking at the menu we ordered drinks. Drinks arrived and all going well - Good service. However, we ordered our food and waited an hour only to be told that our order of food didn't go onto the system and therefore no food was cooked! We took orders again and after another 35 min (It was 9pm now!) we finally got food. The manager didn't talk to us - just a 'That's not burnt, it's just cooked from frozen'. But anyway I personally enjoyed my chicken - Very hot which surprised me.
Thank you to the amazing waitress who was very apologetic of the situation and was extremely friendly. She said that she would have walked out on the spot! Very honest which we appreciated. We ended up getting our meals for free!
Will maybe go again when things have (hopefully) been fixed!

Most likely an accident which I appreciate.

Waited 1.5hrs for food today and shocking service. We’ve had a few meals like that the last few visits but this has been the worst. It’s all about how these things were handled right? We had to chase where our food after an hour before they noticed a ‘glitch with the system’. Then we had to ask twice for everything - replacement drinks, extra sauce. Our waitress slammed our drinks on the table. People came ate and went in the time we were waiting but the service and way it was handled was the worst part. They could have kept us updated without us having to ask, offered free drinks, genuinely pushed through the order (it was 30mins even when the issue was noticed and we were made ‘priority’). We were given 25% off the bill but we had to ask for it. We used to come to this TGI lots when I was a kid and you couldn’t get a table on a Saturday afternoon but when we got there there were only a few tables taken. It used to be such a vibrant place with happy staff, great service and food but the staff looked like zombies who would rather be anywhere but there. Won’t be visiting again.

Great meal, good service, decent prices. Only criticism was we had to eat at the bar (which to be fair, we didn't really mind) because they had taken their last walk in for the evening when we arrived (7:30pm) so make sure you book a table to avoid missing out! Still a very enjoyable meal regardless!

Great food as with any TGI you visit and again as with every TGI I have been to the staff were great (and fun). Love this place, though it’s pretty unhealthy (but delicious) food so I don’t get to go here too often.

It was the first time I've ever visited. On a business trip all the way down Southampton from Newcastle.

Food was outstanding, as was the desert
