Went there second time and the burger, chips, coleslaw and New York Cheesecake is fantastic! Lots of people was there and look busy.

Will back again!

Best restaurant I have ever been to! The decor is amazing, there's even a toy train that goes round your heads! The food is out of this world, the best food you've ever eaten, there is not a meal I wouldn't eat and there's not a meal I wouldn't eat again and again. The staff are absolutely lovely, they really do go above and beyond for the customer. Not only is the restaurant absolutely brilliant but the prices are great too! Thank you Back In Time, you are the best!

We tried this restaurant for the first time for my dad's birthday. It was absolutely fantastic. The service was quick and very cheerful. The food was fast and so delicious. They even bought out a fairy cake with a candle and sung happy birthday to my 53 year old dad! The atmosphere was wonderful. Would highly recommend and will be going back again!

We always have the best time here. Been there several times now for important celebrations. The atmosphere is great, always buzzing. The staff are brilliant, friendly and attentive but not too over the top. Food is great, something for everyone. They love children here and although space is tight they are so accommodating. Cocktails and drinks are also brilliant. It’s our go to place. We will be back again soon. Thank you for never disappointing us!

Had dinner here while catching up with friends. Seated quickly by a friendly host and had a round of cocktails to start. We enjoyed a three course meal which was a very reasonable price. Steaks and burgers were filling and cooked to perfection. The ribs were tender and tasty, well worth trying! There were plenty of choices for the vegetarian in our party. Deserts were varied and the perfect ending to our meal. 100% recommended and will be back again and again. If you've not been you should try it!

The staff always welcome us when we arrive. They are kind and caring team. At birthdays they will sing happy birthday at the top of their lungs. It would be devastating if they closed such a wonderful place. Their food is brilliant, at a reasonable price.

Back Inn Time is a hidden gem in Chelmsford- literally. Why anyone keeps trying to get it knocked down is beyond me.
It is a wonderful family restaurant which is such a joy to visit. We are always made to feel welcome.
The food is amazing, they cater for gluten free options which look as great as the regular meals. The cocktails were delicious and my children loved that they could have some alcohol free ones too! My only negative on the food is that the chips were too over cooked for me, I prefer them softer and fluffier.
As long as the people keep having their say this will be a restaurant we continue to visit for years to come.
