I’ve just tried to come and eat on this completely empty restaurant the table they seated us at was a two person table with 3 seats with no space to move my arms and a wall to look at. When I requested a larger table they told me the completely empty restaurant was fully booked. When I returned to my car I looked on the website and could book a table for 4 at any point in the evening yet they told me they were fully booked. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. But never mind Pizza Express is better!

Booked a room after finding this online, great price bed and breakfast. Turned up, staff were very helpful, 4hour drive to get here I was pleased to see a fantastic shower. Room was lovely very comfortable and clean. Food in the restaurant was nothing short of epic, great ribs and chips meal for dinner and after breakfast I don't need anything else for the day. Thank you for a great stay.

The food was incredible, the service and staff were amazing and very friendly. They were always asking how was the food and if anything was wrong. I had a problem with one of my food options and they took it completely off my bill and offered me something different. The complementary drinks on arrival were great and the taste was lovely. Would definitely go back and recommend to someone else.

Had a one night stay. Lovely room and comfy bed. Couldn't get the shower to work and another guest had to tell me how to reset it as staff available didn't know how. Could hear pub noise below but quiet by 2230 but this was a Thursday. Food tasty, as we're the cocktails. Staff friendly and polite.

Spent a night here as a birthday celebration. So impressed with the place..the staff were super friendly and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Not a miserable face in sight, bar staff, servers & room attendants all greeted us with a smile.
Our evening meal was delicious as was breakfast in the morning with unlimited coffee. Fantastic, spotless room with comfy bed, perfect. Thanks guys we had a really great stay.

Dont give out 5 stars very often, every member of staff was polite and catered for our every need.
Clean, really well themed and the menu had loads of choice.
I wasn't expecting food as good as it was, nicely presented (although yes, it is rustic/WW theme) and tasted great. 6 of us ate and had nothing but positive comments.

Would definitely return.

Came here on the 13/12/22 and what a bad experience! Wouldn’t recommend coming here at all! First of all we was seated in a dark corner where it was freezing cold and we had to ask to be moved.The service was shocking took just over and hour for our drinks to arrive, we had hairs in our burgers! The ribs didn’t have any meat on them what so ever was like eating a dog bone! The bottom of the whole glass fell out, ending up with my drink all over me! Our friend’s steak’s were totally wrong and stone cold! Orders were not correct and was sent back three times to come out wrong again and again. Really wouldn’t go back if someone payed me! was absolutely ridiculous. This is a dead honest review we came here after reading the good reviews for my partner’s birthday but can’t say we had the same experience!

Wouldn’t waste your time and money coming to Smith & Western Tunbridge Wells!

We had an excellent lunch experience here on Sunday 18th Dec. Our server Nicky was amazing and really patient and helpful. The sharing nacho platter was awesomely overwhelming (even for 6 of us) and all our mains were so big we couldn't finish them. Also very attentive service to keep our sodas topped up. Full marks.
