Queen Mother Hospital for Small Animals

Took our elderly female cat here, out of hours as an emergency on a Saturday evening after she had a series of cluster seizures.

We had phoned ahead and when we arrived, they rushed our cat straight into the emergency room. We met with a student vet on arrival who took all of our cat's history. After the team had stabilised our cat, a vet came and explained what was going on and the prognosis wasn't good. We decided to leave our cat overnight and see how she was the next day. After a rather sleepless night, I received a call at around 10am the next morning to say that our beautiful girl had survived the night, was bright and alert and was eating well. They basically saved her life! She will be on medication for the rest of her life, but she's here and that's the main thing!

I cannot praise the hospital enough. The staff are lovely. Yes, it's pricey, but aren't all vets? We were made aware of our options and how much they would cost throughout. There were no surprises financially and actually I ended up paying £300 less than they had quoted. There is a large waiting room with separate areas for cats and dogs. There is also vending machines for hot or cold drinks and clean toilets. All the staff were so lovely to me when I was upset and gave us the time we needed to talk about what we wanted to do.

I would highly recommend this hospital for your furry friends 🙂

Cannot thank enough, the entire staff for their care, professionalism and kindness while treating my Frenchie Buster. Everything at each stage is explained to me, and while he was an inpatient for 8 days, l received daily updates which really put my mind at rest. Have total faith in the Doctors and nurses . Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

It's expensive but it's an out of hours vet for emergencies. We came in as my cat hadn't been able to keep food or water down for three days and had suddenly gone from very active to very lethargic. Our current vet had no appointments that day which was very annoying and by the evening boo wasn't looking too good. Plenty of parking and easy to get to with a satnav.

There was a few hours wait after triage by a student vet but some other extremely poorly animals came in so understand why they were seen first.

A vet (who I think was American?) Took boo off to look her over and came back to tell us she would try an anti sickness injection first. She didn't try to get us to spend more money on at that point unnecessary tests etc. She gave us a plan of action if the jab didn't work and thankfully it seems to have and boo is very slowly on the mend :) thank you!

Amazing staff, and wonderful facilities. My dog couldn't have received better care. If only there were more veterinary hospitals like this in the country!

My puppy, biddy was taken here with life threatening meningitis, blind in one eye and badly lame after contracting pancreatitus, however after receiving an expert diagnosis and treatment from neurologist Dan, she is in fact still with us and doing really well. She has to take steroids and further medication but she's great and we are extremely happy and so grateful we still have her x

Great hospital with excellent facilities and great vets! Frank had the best attention from two different vets. Prices are on the higher end, though.

Friendly and professional staff. Really felt my cat was having the best possible treatment. Had complete faith in everyone caring for him.

Outstanding quality of care. Truly there for my little dog in his time of need. All staff brilliant and facilities exceptional.
