This was our first experience with this company and they have been truly excellent. The engineer's visit took a bit of arranging, but he turned up at the agreed time and was knowledgeable and competent and generally pleasant to have around. Unfortunately our fridge freezer proved beyond repair, but Glotech are now doing their best to source a replacement. On this showing I would definitely recommend them.

I'm quite frankly astounded by how awful my experience has been with Glotech; considering their delightfully boastful call recording and previous customers woefully positive feedback. From start to finish it has been a disabling weight of stress and frustration.

My first call out was booked in for almost 2 months ago now and my oven is still no closer to being fixed even after 7 call outs despite being promised otherwise.

Even now after requesting a refund it's impossible to get anyone to give me longer than 2 mins of their time in order to respectfully explain how long this process will take or even being able to confirm it's going to be processed.

I'm completely exhausted from the whole experience and need to wait for the money to come back in order to either replace or put towards support from an alternative company.

Being a single parent and loosing money having to take so much time off work for the 7 am/pm slots, having had no use of an oven for nearly 2 months and on top of that only being able to correspond with, for the most part, less than helpful customer support line has really been a horrendous experience one I would not wish on any other new or existing customers.

Please don't risk it, it's absolutely not worth it!!

I went on their website to book a repair appointment for my Bosch dryer. Man came out and said the PCB was faulty. A new one was £400 so it wasn’t worth fixing. I found a PCB online for £167. It was the first hit too, so i could probably have found it cheaper. I called to ask if i had missed something as to why they said it would cost £400. I feel let down by this company. £81 odd for them to come out and then over inflate the repair price just so they don’t need to do the repairs. Nice money for a 20 minute visit. They said point blank that i would not get a refund. And to be quite frank, the guy i spoke to was quite rude. Do not “EVER” use this company. Crooks!

AVOID

I spent a lot of time attempting to appeal to Glotech before leaving this review as I am not in the habit of dragging companies through the dirt. However, it would appear that this company has a policy of charging its customers large amounts of money for unnecessary call-outs.

My elderly mother (just under 80 and terminally ill), called Glotech regarding problems with her dishwasher and oven. Without asking the age of the appliances or capturing a valid model number, Glotech dispatched a single engineer to take a look. Ten minutes later, the engineer had established the appliances were both over 20 years old, obsolete and with no available parts.

Reading the reviews here, it seems obvious that this was not a simple mistake but a convenient way to profiteer from older customers used to gentler times. Glotech presented an invoice for £175 for visit. They told me that they apply a 'call-out' charge per appliance. I pointed out that a 'call-out' charge is intended to cover travel expenses only - they responded by saying that this was 'company policy'.

Needless to say that charging customers £175 for ten minutes of unnecessary work is highly profitable. And in these times when profit is king no matter how it is earned, I guess they feel this is good business. Most people would agree that mugging old ladies of £175 is offensive - how is this different?

Glotech offered a goodwill payment of £60 as compensation but refused to acknowledge that its policy needed review.

Be warned. I've never had worst customer service in my life. SO many cancelled appointments, no responses to emails, no calls back, told conflicting things by different agents, was given "good will credits" for missed appointments then they told me they had to be paid back for them to keep scheduling appointments (even though they cancelled on me each time), oh and even if they cancel on you they won't give you a full refund. Wish I had read the reviews before sending them money for a service I now think they never intended to perform.

Don’t use. Wish I could give zero stars.
Be aware this company is a pass through agent and instructs work to sub-standard shoddy third party contractors. You will pay the third party and Glotech take no responsibility for any issues or problems of their suppliers. You are not allowed to speak to the senior manager or owner, instead you must ‘email’ your complaint. Unethical and useless at accepting responsibility. 2023 guys, folk don’t want this kind of plonker and plonker service you give.

Mistakes happen, that’s true and accepted , but a real sign of good customer service is how you treat someone after and resolve the matter. Nope won’t get that here. “Send an email” that’s the only advice this outfit can give. Good luck if you dare.

My advice if you need something fixed contact Domestic and General and use their fixed price service, wish I had, they turned out to be cheaper and world apart for service and quality.
You live and learn. I hope this review helps others.

What a fantastic service from start to finish. Our dishwasher broke down and Sade in sales could not have been more friendly and helpful with her advice on choosing a new one.
Rob and Callum came yesterday to install the new dishwasher and despite some tricky issues, were able to problem solve on the spot, not to mention their extremely professional yet friendly service- would not hesitate to use Glotech again for any appliance issues.
