The Goldfish Bowl

This is the only place we go to for all things aquarium and fish related! Barry and all the staff are so knowledgeable, friendly and just great at their jobs. The best selection I have seen in any shop like this, so add the excellent advice from the team, and you’re onto a winner!

We have had an excellent experience with the Goldfish bowl. We are in the process of buying a tropical fish tank and we are complete novices. Fairground goldfish are our collective limit. But the guys at the aquarium, especially Barry have been really helpful, really accommodating and we have learnt a lot about keeping fish and what is involved. There are even helping us with the natural plants to go in our tank. I can’t rate them highly enough, 5 stars just doesn’t do them justice. I recommend to everyone, go along, check out what they have, even if you don’t buy yet, you will be amazed at what they have on offer and in my opinion, there is nowhere better. Make the trip, you won’t regret it.

We first visited the goldfish bowl after our local chain fish store couldn’t provide what we where looking for. The goldfish bowl is now our go to place. We have tried several in the past and none match up to the quality, selection of fish, the large selection of tanks and a huge area of decorations but more importantly the knowledge and service they provide.
Nothing is to much trouble, and if they don’t have exactly what your looking for they will source it for you. Fantastic place and would highly recommend to anyone.

The most amazing and diverse selection of exotic fish and fish accessories I've ever seen. Also a great side trip if you have little kids. The staff are friendly and really cool about bringing your kids in to see all the beautiful fish and other sea creatures.

We recently visited The Goldfish Bowl in search of a family goldfish. Barry and his staff were amazing, in fact so much so we left with a tropical fish tank and starter kit in preparation to start buying tropical fish.. Visited The Goldfish Bowl today and wasn’t disappointed. It’s a real Aladdin's cave which caters for every aspect of the hobby from cold water to marines. Established in the 1960’s it’s still one of the best aquarium shops in the South. Really friendly and helpful staff who were able to give us lots of advice. The dry goods area is equally impressive with extremely well stocked shelves to suit all pockets. The themed display tanks really showed what can be achieved and made a beautiful visual display. Barry was kind enough to take the time to talk to us about the hobby and his extensive experience in fish-keeping. Would highly recommend to beginners and experienced aquarists
