Poor experience… booked bike in for a health check. The guy who served me was really polite but unfortunately they were understaffed and was trying to complete my health check and serve other customers at the same time. A health check that should’ve taken no more than 30 mins took a lot longer.

Booked bike in to be repaired. Was told 3-4 days.

8 days later I had returned to the shop as I hadn’t heard from Halfords. My bike had been repaired but nobody had thought to contact me to collect. Really poor service.

I have been visiting Halfords for over 30years and today was the best customer experience i have ever encountered in this business. In fact this was one of the best customer experience i have had. What made this even more extraordinary was that the service was from 4 individuals not just 1.

Josh, Adam , Boris & Samson - keep up the good attitude . It works and the customers (the genuine ones) will be happier.

I recently had to return an item that had developed a fault. Nicola in Auto was super helpful and sorted the issue and gave me a replacement - nice no quibbles approach. It`s such a joy when people are super helpful -so thanks Nicola. Next time I need something for the car. I'll be back to Halfords in Wandsworth. Thanks again.

The rep was really helpful at the Wandsworth store today, he changed my window wipers and I ask if he could open the engine oil cap as it was stuck, he did it but he didn’t have too as it wasn’t part of his job so I was super happy that he went the extra mile for me today. Great service all round.

Took my bike in for repairs. After 2 weeks (collection day) my bike hadn't returned. No one was able to tell me where my bike was, or when it would arrive. Bike turned up after 3 weeks but no explanation why it took longer.
They use a 3rd party for repairs so next time I'll try an independent place.
I also don't feel like the cycle team are very good with speaking to customers either. Very slow service in store. At least the bike is fixed now!

Popped in to get a replacement headlamp bulb. Paid a tiny fee to have them do it - which they did swiftly. No fuss. Also joined the motor club and got an immediate discount and a quick 10 point check. I have to say it was a great service. Really very nice staff at Halfords of York Road. Very pleased all round. Those more proficient would say it’s nothing I can’t do myself anyway. Except I don’t and don’t feel confident. So I’m grateful for the hand holding service and the pleasant approach.

Purchased a signal blocker wallet for my car key and it stopped working a few weeks later. The wallet was 5£ so i did not keep the receipt.

Unfortunately the wallet stopped working and the signal was escaping. I took the wallet back demonstrated the fault to a store colleague. The store colleague said it should be fine and told the manager “Damon” (white british male).

Damon was very reluctant to offer an exchange and also quiet clearly had no idea what he was talking about as he was trying to prove the point of that the wallet is not designed to stop the key from working but its designed to stop theft. ((( its the same thing as it stops the signal ))) please educate your staff halfords.

Then he said that because it is not an electrical good that it is not covered over 28 days? When it clearly states on the box 2 years guarantee…. ??? Then when i pointed that out he still refused to do anything without a receipt telling me i should of had it emailed to me…. Well no one offered to email me the receipt. I did not even know you do that.

Cut a long story short i had to purchase another one in the store today for £5. Its not about the £5 its about the principle -_-

Until now i purchased all my products here including my baby seats and even an electric scooter at one point. …. Going forward this will change.

Very disappointed.

HORRENDOUS SERVICE! Put my bike in for a service 28/10 and over the past 7 weeks live received nothing but bad service. I was told it would be ready within a couple of weeks then told I’d have to wait for a part (5 day wait). After 7 weeks I finally picked up my bike and I’m nothing but disappointed.

Staff in store have limited interest in helping, answering questions or even willing to care.

Avoid this location at all cost. Try local bike stores to avoid disappointment.
