Staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We were running late for a free bike check up but the staff were understanding and extremely patient with us. Quite possibly the nicest staff members we've ever encountered in any store ever. Honestly cannot praise them enough. They helped us pick out the perfect bike for our son and even took the time to teach him how all his new gears worked. Cannot recommend this store enough to anyone who has any interest in bikes for themselves or their kids. 5 stars all the way.

Fantastic experience on the whole here. Got rid of my car due to lack of use, looked to buy a bike through my employers bike to work scheme so came.to Halfords. The original man I spoke to (unfortunately can't remember his name) was absolutely fantastic and must have spent a good hour going through everything from start to to finish. Bikes, helmets, lights, locks and other accessories. I took the info down and went to order through the bike to work scheme only to find out it isn't valid at Halfords (difference scheme - make sure you check) I felt so bad that the guy had given me so much time and knowledge and given the good customer service I received I went back and ordered anyway! First bike delivered was damaged however (VERY small chip) but they were good enough to phone and tell me. They'd also ALREADY put another bike on order in case. The new bike was delivered and built within the week and all my accessories and servicing was explained on pick up. The ONLY slight critism was that I had to keep calling to check if it was ready but I get the stores are understaffed and busy. Wasn't overly impressed with the call centre. Felt like a pointless middleman however I understand why they are there. All in all an absolutely fantastic experience and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I wish I had the names directly so I could name them but please do reach other for info to identify them all and ensure they are recognised. Decent service in an otherwise rubbish world. Thank you.

When I needed a new battery for my car fob I thought the person serving was just being helpful when he replaced it for me. Little did I know I was going to be charged £7 for the 2 minute effort and it was more than the actual battery cost. I think I should have been advised beforehand and I would have done it myself.

I want to say a massive thank you to Kriss for helping me with my windscreen wiper problem. Fixed it in 10 minutes. Such a lovely young man and a wonderful asset to Halfords Ipswich. So very well done. Marian Paish.

Not a good experience. Needing a complete dash cam set up but sales guy couldn’t tell me which one had a universal suction cup windscreen fitment so I could swop between vehicles - no boxes to open & look at - just display models with no windscreen mounts displayed. Kept asking advice on his headset to someone but he couldn’t hear very clear what they were saying. Waste of my time

Awkwardly sited battery fitted efficiently by a pleasant, professional technician. Decent price under the premium club scheme.

Pricing has gone nuts with the staff pushing the "motoring club" for discounts. Variable service but still the go-to place for all things motoring. Upstairs in the cycling department, the staff aren't very knowledgeable or experienced.

Not impressed, taken bike to be repaired, booked Friday 16 Dec, get email changing it to Thursday 22 Dec, no reason why, just got off phone to customer support, useless, didn't know what she was doing. Reckon I will get a call back. In my opinion go elsewhere. They only interested if you brought the bike from them. To change date without a reason is rude especially when I'm told it would be ready Friday afternoon.
