Popped in with our dog and received a very warm welcome. We both had a breakfast which was delicious although I did get envious when I saw someone get their afternoon tea. Also. They even came with a bowl of sausages for our dog who was made up. Tea was loose and reminded me of tea at groans house, great cafe, can't fault it will return soon.

Always enjoy going to this cafe. As a vegetarian I can't comment on the meat options obviously but they offer decent vegetarian options for breakfast or lunch. Staff are always cool and friendly. This place is good friendly and they offer doggy tea and plan on offering doggy cakes in the future. Can be quite busy but we have always managed to get a table.

Really nice little place. Allowed dogs in and were genuinely welcoming to them. Allowed us to tinker with their dishes (swap toast for black pudding on the breakfast etc) and the waitress was extremely accommodating. She even brought a treat for one of the dogs in my group after it had been nasty towards her.
Highly recommend and I'd be a regular visitor if I lived in the area.

The tea rooms are my favourite place to go for a friendly atmosphere and delicious food. You feel like you are popping round to a friends house when you go there. They cater for dietary restrictions, do food to take out and make reservations. Any of the staff will go the extra mile to ensure your stay is that little bit more special. I suggest every one tries their ultimate cheese on toast with an egg at least once. You don't know what you are missing!

Been here once before and it was 'ok'. Second time we booked, but on arrival were told they didn't have the booking and seemed quite off with us even though we had the emails with us. That aside they found a table, albeit not very clean.
We ordered afternoon tea which we had last time and it was quite good last time. This time it was very basic and hurriedly thrown together. On pointing out there was something missing I was told to take a seat and they'd bring it over. After 10 minutes I once again went to ask and was snapped at to go and sit down and they would bring the forgotten items over. All this time it appeared the two people working there were doing very little. In all after around 25 minutes one of the staff finally brought over the pot of jam, long after everyone had finished.
The dated and chipped plates and cups are one thing, could even be argued that they're going for the afternoon tea with an incredibly aged relative theme, but being off and coming across as rude after they made the mistake, twice, is quite another.
Not worth returning there. There are however many really nice places only a few doors down.

Awful experience. Cold and waited an hour for our afternoon tea. We had booked and felt conned as we had to endure sweet potato sandwiches. The selection was minimal. Then watch other customers get served before us. It was my freinds birthday I felt embarassed. Won't be returning. Rip off.

Had afternoon tea. The sandwiches were a cheese one and a cucumber one and one with a bit of turkey and salad. Also lovely mushroom bruschetta. Lots of salad and it all looked very nice. The scones were lovely and hot. Wasn't keen on the choc cake or the strawberry toast which may have been nice eaten hot but we took the cakes home, being full up. Lovely pot of tea. The other food on the menu sounded lovely and being a dog friendly cafe will definatly go back. Helpful and friendly lady serving .

This is a great cafe, so much choice of teas and cake. Great prices. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options if that's your thing. My favourite bit though is that this is genuinely dog friendly with dog breakfast and tea available. Service if very friendly and efficient and the place has its own quirky style.
