First ever time in a metro bank I asked for a £5 note to be swapped for 5 £1 coins. They said no as i didn’t bank with them and other banks would do the same. Went to Barclays next door who I also don’t bank with and they done it straight away . Won’t be back !

I selected Metro Bank as a likely contender to provide a new business account. The headline transaction charges deal looked tempting so I visited the Tunbridge Wells branch to learn more. From the moment I arrived (without an appointment, at a bank, to discuss a business account) it was clear Metro Bank have assessed the pitfalls of 'traditional' banking and created a new benchmark for customer service. Totally impressed by every aspect so far, Ed could not have been more helpful and made the account opening experience pain free. I'm looking forward to developing the account and banking relationship over the coming months, not something I ever thought I'd be able to say for a business account. Well done Metro Bank, excellent; a well deserved 5 stars for the Tunbridge Wells team.

Need to transfer money from metro to other bank account to pay my garage bill and get my car back. Im currently laid up with glandular fever so need to do it by phone.
Ive spent 3 days now trying to get thru... holding for half hour or more. I still havnt got thru. Is there no phone in the tunbridge wells or central office? Am at my wits end.

Banked here for a while now. My card was printed there and then and worked straight away. The staff are always polite and helpful and the services offered are very good. The money counting machine is useful and can also be used be non-members. I highly recommend this bank to anyone who wants polite staff and a speedily opened account! The staff has also been incredibly kind and helpful through this pandemic. Thanks to all of them!

I have been the victim of credit card. Metro bank are aware of this but cannot recover the money from the fraudsters so have decided to hold me liable. I have an on going case against metro and am utterly disgusted by the way I have been treated, however , the staff at Tunbridge Wells bank are fantastic and have supported me and helped me the best they can . They have seen some of the defence evidence I have submitted and believe I am a victim of fraud. They have even helped write letters for me to support my case. But Metro bank will not budge on their decision to hold me liable and are even charging me interest on the stolen money.

Metro bank has been the only bank I've had that are there to help you and give you advice. I've had a few problems with getting deposits back and they have been straight onto the businesses that have been holding the money.

Tunbridge Wells branch.
Alison was great very helpful and polite answering all our questions, opened account so easy and quick (unlike Santander told go online guy sounded like a machine so unhelpful we walked straight out) walked into Metro Bank what a difference, a refreshing experience so glad to deal with real people we didn't have an appointment, seen within 5 minutes even thanked for waiting. Thank you

I had a new business account started just few months ago and I couldn't use my app few days ago, first I believed that it might be a problem with your sms confirmations but trying today again and couldn't login.
When I have called I've been told that my account is closed as I should have received a letter 3 weeks before saying that my account is due to close in 7 working days, which I haven't.
However, I asked why in 2021 I haven t received an email or app message saying that my account is due to close or to be notified about this?
I have been told that only letter is issued.
