Whilst waiting for a vacant member of staff to deal with my business, the Branch Manager approached me to enquire which service I required. On explaining that I was paying in a cheque, he guided me to a relatively new innovation which allows paying in of cheques to be done in the same way that you can personally get cash from an ATM. He explained the process to me with great clarity and left me feeling confident that I could repeat the process myself with few concerns. I must also add that I have been impressed on previous visits with the visibility of the Ashby Branch Manager ' on the shop floor ' both greeting and offering practical support and advice to customers. His manner is polite and engaging adding to the undoubted policy of making each individual customer feel valued. A very refreshing approach to customer focussed management!

Really nabbed off with this bank now. Attempting to open a new joint account as an existing customer.
Getting help by phone is virtually impossible, After keying in and saying all my details, several times, as requested by the robot voice, the phone said 'sorry we can not take your call now'.
Second attempt, different number, keyed in all my details, exactly the same, phone said, 'sorry your account details don't match' (but they do!).
Third attempt, Keyed it all in again, as requested, and it says go to the website.
Ive BEEN TO THE WEBSITE but it does not tell me how to do what I want.
Assumedly this bank doesn't want any new customers and nor does it want to help its existing ones it seems.
Ok, can anyone recommend a good bank?

If you need to go in this bank take a sleeping bag with you they are so slow

Wanting to set up new accounts for my two younger children and because of their age they we need to go into branch, they open at 9am and close at 3pm and CLOSED at weekends not sure how I am supposed to take the kids. It will have to wait till the school holidays.

Is this bank open only for those who do not have a job? Why have the opening hours been changed till 3 pm?! I do not work in town and on Saturdays it is closed as well. I do most my banking online but there are times that I just need a visit at the the branch. We are no longer in lockdown and it seems unjustifiable that the service is so limited.
