Barclays Bank

Almost an hour on the telephone for an appointment, only to be told there are no appointments available. What a waste of my time.

Have to call India to make a appointment to be told 20 day wait for appointment, TIME TO CHANGE BANKS, for one that SUPPORTS BRITISH JOBS .

These guys barely stay open. This bank promotes limited working hours and a culture of suspicion towards customers. A few thousand pound of my money that I had transferred in from my other salary account is being " held" by the bank systems. I am not being allowed to make payments, transfers or take statements. The staff are not rude but have this attitude of being know it alls. They don't mind being on the phone and make customers wait in queues and are absolutely not willing to help but give lectures of how their banking systems are trying to protect my account from fraud. The teller who says he is the manager and working there from 10 years asked me questions like " where did the money to this account come from " like it's his business or like it's being promoted on his computer screen. I was extremely embarrassed when he asked these questions when there were atleast 3 other customers in the bank.
Just a painful experience. It's been almost 8 days since I applied for the bank account online and I've still not received a debit card. Flawed system.

Wake up Barclays. Cash transactions only at front desk!! Waited 20 minutes to pay a visa bill. Had to leave as I stupidly thought it would be a 5 minute job.Meanwhile tellers at the front desk with no customers! Ridiculous system.

Staff were very helpful

This bank is pointless , I went in to apply for student’s account ( I am already Barclays customer)and the lady said she can not do it and it’s only another woman doing it on Monday or Friday and she is available after 2 weeks 🙈 I said I need it urgently hence why I came in today and why can she not do it as to go to the bank twice for such a basic thing is not ideal , she just said okay 🤷‍♀️ what a joke … they are closed on weekends and even on Wednesday.. and when you come in hardly anyone is there and if there is, can’t help you anyway

Extremely long queue for such a small size bank. Barely any space to stand there. Lloyds is much better as their bank is bigger in size and barely any waiting time.

Extremely limited opening hours. Only actually opens 3 days a week. Does not open on Saturday. Ridiculous
