went in with my partner to create a join account. no proper queue system , rude welcoming and the first appointment offered was 3 months later .
we walked to the HSBC branch up the road : nice , quick welcoming and sorted a joint account right away .

I am giving 5 star to the customer service i recieved from daniel verdi who my uncle had an appointment with at barclays bank eastham he was very proffessional compassionate, patient and his work ethic was overwhelming to watch, i wish there was more people like him in the world...... How ever i have to say before we went upstairs i was sickened on how a homeless man who was clearly un well was spoken to at the door by a member of staff who opened the door, the man was shuffling on the ground clearly soild him self and instead of assessing the situation and talking to the individual with diginty was talked down to and asked to shuffle back out of the bank because no one was going to see him on the ground,people was walking in to the bank practically barging the man i asked the member of staff to speak to the man with bit of respect and check if he might need medical attention however i was ignored and the member of staff continued shouting at the man to get out...it was dehumanising and very uncomfortable to watch.

Rubbish experience!!! I booked my appointment 11-30PM and I was waiting more than 1 hour for my new account opening ! After they take my couple of photos and take 30 to 40 minutes for my documents and in a last they said something is wrong! Your credit score is not enough! I said I want to open my normal account than what is the meaning of credit score ??? I don’t want credit account! And I got HSBC account which is I’m using !
In short my 2-3 hours is gone without meaning !
RUBBISH EXPERIENCE ! Well They lose their customer ! Well I got my another bank account now ! So I’m not worry!
BUT SUCH A RUBBISH EXPERIENCE !

I am really disappointed and shocked with the service my partner received, he attended this bank today took a day off work, to be told he can only open a new account if he is leaves his Lloyds bank. He made it very clear asking if he can open a new Barclays account while with another bank (Lloyds) and he was told he can. When he attends his appointment, he was treated with nothing but neglect and discrimination due to him being from a forign background and not having full english. When he mentioned can I call someone who can help me explain myself and why I need another account he was being told that he cannot. This is day light racism. When I was on the phone, I can hear a female and another member of staff laughing saying things like "here we go " &"this is our policy agree accept it or you can leave" and laughing, This is firstly not the way to treat anyone. When I checked Barclay's terms and conditions, nothing in the terms state you cannot open another bank account when with another bank. The equality act 2010 states 5 terms and the one of the terms includes discrimination. This situation occurred Infront of several staff members/people around belittling and embarrassing people doesn't get you anywhere. I will be contacting UMBUDSMAN regarding this matter, as it needs to be investigated further. How has he then been threatened to be black listed because he was trying to argue his battle without a help of a translator, he offered he can arrange.

This branch busy ,customer services no good,long queued ,1 hour Waite ,they sent me up and down stairs .staff not being training properly,they asked many questions and don’t help, I went to Ilford branch they help me within 2 minutes.this branch manager need training again all staff in here,they don’t know how to help customer.

Masood was fantastic! He went above and beyond! His reputation is wholesomely justified!

His effort levels, superb communication skills and ultimately a superior offering of customer service made the experience an absolute pleasure.

This guy is solely holding the branch together!

Very very very poor service. Few things happened:

1) There were short of staff, eventually. One of the lady was kind enough to guide the others around.

2) Waiting time is very long. There are many people and only 2 Barclay representatives at their 'desks'.

3) I asked for a hardcopy of my past 3 months statement, that took long and the girl who did the job looks like she is very unhappy to work there.

4) Upon receiving my statements (which took long), i went back home and found out that i got someone else FULL-YEAR statement, and my own statement is completely screwed up (not everything has been printed out)

Very very poor service. I am an unhappy customer. Very frustrating.
i feel nauseated just with the thought of going back there.
