This morning I had to call to this branch to make sure that my address have been changed - I was asked probably 30 questions about my business account. My question was: have you received my letter? Everything was tracked - they received on Thursday 22 of March. At first attempt the lady in Business Banking told me that the letter was not received, then it was received, then my letter is being processed by the head office. As the best escape I was offered the same stupid offer: issue a complaint with our complaint department! I need to pay wages, not writing complaints.
However the story continued again with a Telephone Banking team. Who even told me that my letter was not received OR declined at the branch by the manager!!!
Whom I need to trust?
I called again to telephone banking to ask if I can speak to the manager who advised me what to do. Obviously - the lady who was asking me same security questions was able to block me on telephone banking, by telling me that I did not pass security when I answered same 3 security questions over and over again!
NOW I HAVE TO FLY 3000km to make an amendment face-to-face!
Such unprofessional and bad service - bad is too good to be called! The worst!
Get different bank, not HSBC!
When asked how I could pay in cash she said to return during the week, when I explained I work during the work (as everyone does) she said she couldn't help any more.
Also you HAVE to fill in a deposit slip for cheques, why? not with other banks
Oh and very long queue with only 1 counter open.
Staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful and answered all my questions and helped me setup a secondary savings account on the spot too. In and out in 15-20mins
An agent named SIMA she did now allow for me to translate for my friend over the phone like i always do! My friend was at the branch with all relevant documents but because her English is not that fluent to solve her problems and at many HSBC branches or over the phone we were able to work this way, i help her with interpreting.
SIMA started telling me that I have to come to the Branch in Richmond- what kind of unnecessary and unreasonable request is that? We have never been asked to do that by HSBC at any time before - why was she so rude to me over the phone because I couldn’t be there and I’m not even the card holder. Then she just left the phone and my friend there without solving anything in the branch.
Disgusting behaviour!! HSBC has a good reputation but agents like will ruin it i am telling you! Both my friends are Premier Members at HSBC and do not deserve to be treated this way.
