As other reviewers have noted, generally incompetent and incapable. Everyone else I know with HSBC goes to the Hammersmith branch in preference as often the staff are unable to complete even basic business. Only giving 1 star because you can't give 0.

They asked for physical ID and I provide my BRP which has my picture on it and valid issued but they don’t accept it!!!!! The only physical ID they accept passport and drive license which doesn’t make sense
Another client talked to the manager then accept his copy Phone ID
While I went home to bring my ID

This is awful bank and service! I had to leave Ukraine because of war and my passport was expired so I extended the term in the migration service because in Ukraine does not work passport desk because of WAR! And they tell me that they can’t open me bank account because it said 5 words in Ukrainian language in my passport! I even have insurance number and BRP! Shame on you!

Awful service, financial TERRORISTS HSBC and his staff. Account under review since 2 may more than 5 months.
They even didn't told me no email no phone call that my account is blocked I faund aut it once I tryed to pay in the shop.
Call center in India, staff with awful accent and incompetence.
Told them : I want to close my my account and I need my money waiting for 6 months now.
Evoid this gang !!!!

absolutely appalling customer service at chiswick high street HSBC. cash in machines not working 3 team members walking pass and not even acknowledging customers waiting or explaining or even an appology. it doesn't take a lot to give eye contact and to explain to waiting customers what is happening. every time I come here to bank I wish I was banking with someone else

Long wait time after waiting more than 10 days to switch my account, the staff are friendly enough but I honestly don't understand why the application process is started online when they evidently need the documents in person. The reality is that they shouldn't because it is just scanned onto the system anyway. So 45 minutes and still waiting

A laughable excuse for a bank.
Their PC to access your online account is too old to have a browser that supports their own website. 🤣
