Understaffed

This is a very busy branch that is woefully understaffed. The team are friendly and trying to do their best, often going out of their way to do so which is really appreciated. But often the experience is painful - for example business department closed both times I went in, no ability to make appointments. HSBC head office needs to give this busy branch more support.

AVOID!!
-They would not even accept an apartment lease as proof of address when trying to open an account.
-When we finally opened the account, it took two visits to the branch to finally have our cards mailed out due to their mistakes.
-After having the account for over 12 months, I made a transfer to another bank account in my name while overseas. They BLOCKED the transaction, then BLOCKED me out of my bank account so I could not even access my money. We were overseas and needed to use our money in an emergency. Even after calling their fraud team (which is all in India) they said I would have to go into a branch to resolve the issue and be able to use my own money again! On hold for over an hour for them to tell me where the nearest branch in the country I'm in is, then they just hung up on me while still on hold. Once I get my access back I will be moving all of my money into another account. Thank God I do not have a mortgage or any investment portfolio with them.

Awful customer service, all agents are taking the maximum time as if they are on a strike to slow down the service. They make you wait long queues and in the end direct you to phone banking.

I visited the store an hour before closing. Micheal took my measurements and helped me find the right suit and shirt. I tried a few on that didn’t fit so well and he managed to find me the best size and fit. I spent up until the last minute of closing looking for the perfect suit and Micheal was patient and assisted me even though it was time to pack up. 10/10 customer service 👍

Terrible service. The guys at the counter don't know the work. Sent me twice away and it turned out they were wrong. Wasted so many hours with this branch. HSBC should have better training to the employees.

Business and premier banking empty of staff at lunch time. Pretty much as bad as waiting two hours to get through to customer service on the phone.

Anyhow, gruff member of staff less interested in helping and more interested in getting to her weekend and only serving me out of anger

Would avoid this branch and pray that you might get better service elsewhere.

The staff (old man working on the first floor) was extremely rude and unhelpful. I wanted to deposit my coins and had to sort them again and he told me in a rude tone to write down in paper how many coins I had in each bag. 20 minutes later the lady (who was nice) then told me I did not need to do all that and got the help I needed in 5 minutes.

Total waste of time! We visited this branch on a Saturday to use the counter service after two long conversations with HSBC agents on the phone. The manager said this is not possible because the counter service is open only on weekdays. Then stepped aside to find out more and seemed to wait in an office until we decided to leave. This is a pattern of bad communication and inefficiency from HSBC to its customers.
