They do not accept cash at the bank to pay down your credit card.. only check or debit from another account..
They do no bother answering the Phone, called many times.. no answer.
Third degree to open a current account, they insist on have all your private details regarding all income and personal expenses.. unwilling to divulge such person info when NOT requesting credit or overdraft protection.. sorry! no current account..

I have always found this bank to be most helpful in any queries that I have had, all my questions were answered politely, promptly and pleasantly. I have banked here for seven years now and I am totally satisfied with all my dealings with the Co-op bank from my Funeral care plan to getting a Personal loan and overdraft extension , may I add a very well done to all its employees who make you feel very welcome.

Perfect! Quick service. I've been a smile.co.uk (part of the Co-op Bank) customer for several years. The odd mistake has been speedily rectified. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE - and ethical too! The Co-op is the best bank I've been with.

Person who served me did very well considering we was communicating through a screen and I was wearing a mask together with my tinnitus it proved difficult at times.Our conversation, therefore ,was loud,the problem for me was that there were around 6 customers in line waiting so our conversation was heard by all.I was asked for my two digit of my security code,my first school and why I wanted the cash requested.I know our conversation was heard,because whilst I waiting for my cash I overheard ,without trying every other conversation that took place between customers and members of staff .Not only did I find this intrusive I believe it maybe a breach of the Data Protection Act.I await your response

Been with the bank for over 40 years. I have no local branch any more and the online website does not work properly. On two occasions now I have tried to delete a direct debit without luck. It just locks the system. Then it's on to the telephone banking service, which is laughable. The waiting time is always so long that I give up. Appalling bank now.

This has got to be the worst bank and the worst branch of a bank that I have been unfortunate enough to have dealings with. Being directed there from customer service, which is a lengthy experience of its own, the staff here repeatedly 'unblocked' my card and it was then repeatedly refused by all ATMs, then couldn't transfer my money to a friend's account, and left me with the only recourse of just closing the account permanently... Even that took time. So much better with HSBC.😃
