The new refurbishment at the Carfax branch is horrendous, it is a very very sad endorsement of todays society when the powers that be at Barclays decide to take away the cashiers and replace them with machines all in the name of saving money, how pathetic. A lot of the customers are elderly and felt safe, secure and confident actually being able to speak to someone when paying in money or paying a bill, that has now been taken away.

Shame on Barclays, I for one will be moving my account elsewhere.

I have been a customer at Barclays Horsham for over 30 years but I am seriously thinking of moving since there terrible re-fit and change over to auto banking. You only have to be in there a few minutes before you hear customers complaining about it.The fact they have signs up saying abuse to staff will not be tolerated says it all.

Avoid for business banking, really are a shamble at Barclays. Most annoying so now time to leave after months of zero access to our accounts for the director of the business. They also seem to fail to make simple telephone calls to customers when they promise too.. All very poor from CX point.
Promised phone call from Branch Manager by Barclays Customer Service Team, that was a Friday and we've heard nothing. Pretty shambolic for a business, any business who claim to be looking after customers.

Visited the bank earlier this week with my mum. The customer service shown by Heidi was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, efficient and took the time to explain and check everything as we went.

My elderly mother has been treated attrociously by this bank; we've been trying for 3 weeks to get a new cheque book; not "possible" online as the demand page always has a technical problem and everytime she calls the service line she is met with rude, patronising staff. This has been causing her a lot of distress; if I don't get an answer today, we are going to change banks.

1 hour later - impossible to speak to someone in the Horsham branch, the Indian I finally got through to was polite, although I couldn't always understand him, he suggested arranging for someone to visit my housebound mother - she only wants a new cheque book! I have now taken an appointment with the TSB to transfeer her account there. Spoke to a real person, actually in Horsham! Friendly anf helpful.
My parents have been with Barclays for many years, never overdrawn...

Never had any problem at this branch. But I am totally against reducing man power and putting more automated machines. More staff please.

Short staffed, nobody seems to be ever available to help. Desks are It has several machines for automated banking.
