Barclays Bank

Without doubt the worst bank that I have ever had the misfortune to deal with, you get pushed from pillar to post trying to speak to someone regarding an account I manage on behalf of an elderly person, over 2 hours spent on the phone so far with no resolution to my problem. No customer service satisfaction whatsoever and I cannot understand how they maintain any customers. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Opening times are terrible. My daughter is 14 goes to school and can only go to the bank during holidays or she has to go into leicester. Closing on Saturday was a bad decision from a customer convenience point of view. Opening late, closing early, its not like the bank can't afford to employ more staff.

Useless opening times. Closed on weekends and only open 9-3 on weekdays. How is anyone who works meant to use this branch? Rubbish.

No problem with the staff at this branch who try their best, I wonder how Banks like Barclays have been allowed to close nearly every Bank in Leicestershire, leaving a selected few open ( I think 4 in the entire county) and then completely understaff those branches especially Oadby Leaving queuing customers frequently out of the door, why couldn't Barclays having closed all those branches, transfer the staff and fully man (or woman) the counters, not only do they under staff the counters they try and force you to use that ridiculous machine in branch which takes longer to use than dealing with a person at the counter, to cap it off the opening hours have been severely reduced , no weekend opening and although they say it closes at 3.30pm, try paying in cash ( not notes) after 2pm, oh no no, we're a bank that closes at 3.30pm but nobody is on the counters after 2pm, so the fact that you've travelled miles to pay in cash you have to go home and come back tomorrow!! what a shambles, the incredibly weak Banking regulator wants sacking for letting Banks like Barclays get away with this shoddy treatment of customers, not everything can be done online!!

Opening hours are pointless, how can people who work all day and go college or school visit the branch from 9:00 till 3:30, should stay open till at least 5:30pm, just a bank for pensioners and people who don't work.

The bearded man in the banking hall today was very helpful and had superb interpersonal skills. He helped me with transferring money from Smart Investor.

No good Except you are served by Mr Dharmesh who is the Best Member of Staff. He deserves appreciation and rather promoted.

Can’t fault reema I believe that is her name. She was absolutely lovely to me and my grandma who has trouble speaking English and difficultly walking. Was so kind and empathic. Huge contrast to Maggie, who from our best first interaction made us feel very uncomfortable. From the tone we were spoken to, to staring at my grandma when she had difficulty explaining herself in English. Empathy and kindness costs nothing.
