Absolutely terrible bank! HSBC it’s self is great but the 2 women who work here are terrible, speak to you like someone under their shoe, can’t count to save their lives and panic when there are 2 people in the store apparently that’s busy. I would go to Preston or Wigan hsbc banks, like they suggested as them banks probably have more competent clerks.

I could not believe what I experienced today in the queue, waiting to pay a cheque in. I was second behind a lady waiting and we both were amazed at what we were listening to. The customer at the counter was opening a new account and the staff member asked her for so many personal details, we heard her address, postcode, telephone number, how long she had lived at her present address etc etc. The lady in front of me turned round to me in disgust and said exactly what I was thinking. With the new data protection act in force we both thought this was sooo wrong. HSBC you really need to look at this and maybe give the customer a form to complete rather than discuss personal information in earshot of other customers.

Worst bank I have ever had to deal with. Very unhelpful and rude. Best thing I did was close my account and go across the road to Halifax.

You can’t deposit money if the branch is closed and you have to fill in a pay-in slip when depositing cash which is just a pain; not great at all for a student like me who prefers to use card. Santander is much better and that’s who I’ve switched to

Closed again today. Wasted trip from Chorley due to their Chorley branch now closed down. Online services/telephone customer service useless.

Avoid!! As there are no appointments, you must take a day off to resolve your issue, which arose solely as a result of the bank's inability to process large transactions! Apparently transaction is susspissed in their opinion, so without hesitation they locked my account.

Disappointed again. Called at the bank yesterday to find it was closed again even though people were actively working in there. Sign on door advised to come back again tomorrow, which I did to find it closed again, but this time there were clearly some of the general public in the premises carrying out their transactions at the counter. Then an employee of the branch who was acting like a guard dog through the glass of the door with no words of apology. This lady in particular really needs to be trained in how to treat people and deal with customers of your bank. I thought it was a one off a few weeks ago (maybe she was having a bad day) that she embarrassed me in front of staff and customers in the bank by asking lots of personal questions and at one point refusing to cash my business cheque, only to find she had not read the paperwork properly on the Signatories of our company.
Shocking experiences.

Just been in Leyland branch to ask for help setting up on line banking. I expected to be given an appointment to return next week, but the lovely lady Sue said it could be done if I waited 10 minutes until Adele came back from lunch. Adele helped me set up on line banking she was so patient and encouraging.
I’ve used several banks in Leyland the customer service from HSBC and Sue Sue and Adele was exceptional. Thank you from Elizabeth 😊
