I booked an appointment to open a savings account and went to the branch 2 hours later. I was slightly early and was offered a hot drink or water, and was kept waiting literally a minute before being attended to. Gemma was polite and efficient in opening my account and we were all done within 30 minutes. Great customer service.

I went to virgin money today in Oxford. Sophia has been very helpful with all my queries. I noticed the staffing is horrible at this branch, with one fully trained member (Sophia) and a trainee. There is almost none privacy and all doors are open. I can listen to customers discussing their banking details whilst sitting in one of these rooms. The waiting area is right next to the desk and anyone waiting in the queue will be able to look at my banking details. I can understand Sophia kept the door open to assist the trainee and to coordinate customer flow. She has answered all my queries but I can sense she is under tremendous pressure and it is hard for her to do her job well in these circumstances. I have been with Virgin for more than half a decade, it started awesome with great customer facilities (London Haymarket branch), but over these years, the mobile banking is not user friendly with some accounts unable to appear online. In my 40mins in the office, I can overhear all the customers complaining and even would like to close their accounts. Can virgin management team please look into this and rectify these asap !!!!

Please consider opening on a Saturday for half a day as I am finding it difficult to get into the branch, esp when telephone banking and online banking are not easily accessible. It has crossed my mind to close my account completely if I can't see any improvement in the next couple months
