Good staff but has to be one of the slowest Barclays branches I've ever been to. 2 out of the 4 Windows always closed massive ques going to the front door other staff members doing nothing in the back.

Talk about frustrating/annoying your customers!! Waited for about 40 mins in branch before getting to the window!!

This bank and branch just gets worse and worse. The only time I ever go to the place is to pay cash in as I have now told people that I don’t want any form of cheque. I am happy to bank on line. But every now and again I get cash and I know that the only way to put this in my account is to personally visit this branch, a task I hate doing. Fortunately I haven’t had to go there for a few months to do this task and even if it was busy I knew that I could place my money in an envelope and deposit it in the receptacle provided and my account would be credited later that day.
On my visit to this branch at 3pm, 4th April, I was confronted with a queue of 30 people and only 2 cash desks open even though there were at least 2 staff in the background appearing to do nothing.
There were no envelopes to put my cash in as described above. When a gap appeared I asked for an envelope to be told that I could no longer deposit money in this manner and that I would have to stand in queue with everyone else. I knew that this task would take at least 30 mins due to the queue.
Barclays, your service has become pathetic and worse than useless.
After 43 years I have had enough and my account will be closed tonight and taken somewhere else.

Absolutely pointless going to this branch to see a cashier unless you want to wait well over half an hour. They are too busy gossiping with the elderly customers who go in to chat as opposed to actually do some banking. Waited 20 minutes, 4 cashiers on duty, not 1 came free in that time. This is not the first time, have complained to manager on previous occasions, nothing is changed. I now travel over to Arnold where I bank with Santander. I deposit my money there and have to transfer it to Barclays online.

Need to go to this branch to just ‘pop-in’ and pay in a cheque or cash?

Helpful tips:

1. Make sure you buy an ‘All day’ parking ticket.
2.. Take refreshments, a flask and packed lunch.
3. Take a good book. War and Peace, or the entire Harry Potter collection.
4. Take your phone charger, for when you have finished your books and are playing Candy Crush.
5. Check Sky News, you’ve been in there long enough, we may be out of the EU!!

Always long queues and not enough staff. Pay in machines should be installed. Complete waste of time each time. Staff are very friendly and helpful though.
Terrible slow incompetent service.I wemt to do a money tramsfer amd the cashier was useless and not at all sure what she was doing! Meanwhile the manager came to check all but the transfer has not happened.Have to go AGAIN to find out what happened!!!
