Don’t bother wasting your time going to this branch. The self service machines have been out of order twice in two months when I’ve been and there’s no counter service. They expect you to travel all the way down to the Bethnal Green branch which defeats the point in having a local branch in Hackney, when the services they are meant to provide are often out of order.

Maybe I was lucky, but the both times i've gone to this branch, all the people working there have been really lovely, helpful and have accommodated me. The processes I needed were done quickly and efficiently, with no problems. I can't say the same for some of the larger and more central branches (that being said they were also mostly wonderful people). Maybe slightly understaffed though.

It is a lovely small bank and the staff there are normally helpful. I would have given it a full 5 star if it is not for waiting to be seen too. Just be prepared for a long wait as there are no counter, it is all self services.

I found a great service - for a change I must say! - But Lola was extremely helpful and dealt with all my queries efficiently, professionally and in a friendly manner.

Not good!!!! Block my card for no reason and cant help to unblock it at the counter!! Wasted alot of time. I will have to close account with hsbc. Always so inconvenient!!!

The HSBC Mare Street has a fellow called "Hansel" who was working today Friday 16th . He needs to train all the other staff and get a pay rise as he was extremely efficient and helpful. Just like the service I used to get back in the olden days. Well done Hansel

Spotted at HSBC Hackney today, sign saying, "We take climate change very seriously. Meanwhile we've invested $111 billion in climate destroying fossil fuels in the last 5 years". Time to switch banks, I think.

The branch is closed for ever and they don’t even bother communicating it. Worst service ever
