HSBC Bank

I visited here today to open an account for my teenage child to use. The 3 staff we spoke with were excellent. The lady at the counter was very polite and gave us all of the information and forms to complete . She then advised us to have the form checked by her colleague in the waiting area before submitting. Whilst she was checking our form and documents she advised another colleague had a customer not turn up so as we were there we could kindly have that appointment.
The lady who saw us and completed the process was very polite and informative. She spoke directly to my teenage child regarding the account which was really appreciated.
As a first banking experience for my child I can only say again how well it was undertaken. Thank you and I have no doubt my teenager will not be thinking of going else where and is very excited about have an account to use. Very polite , efficient and well trained staff.

Parking terrible. Half is used by staff. Hours are very poor considering this is the only other HSBC in the city. Doesn't open until 09:30. No longer any out of hours pay-in facility for non business customers. Unfortunate because people have no choice but to put up with this poor service other than drive into the city.

Absolutely dreadful service. They also admitted they had made a mistake however I’ve been waiting 8 days to receive my funds back and still waiting.

Managers, can you change the working cash in the machine? The machine takes one note by one note. This is ridiculous. When I want to speak with a manager I got the answer he is not there. Not good. People queuing at the counter and the machine. The ladies are helpful but the bank is a joke. Repair the machines 🥴

i became a member of hsbc as soon as i turned 18 (april 2021) i had no photo id but i had my foster carer who is a hsbc member and my birth certificate, a month later of getting my hsbc account i get a message from someone asking me if i can send money to his mates cause his bank wouldn’t send any to him friends, he sent me £6k and i sent it to the people he gave details to, next thing i notice my account is on a warning and i spoke to hsbc and they wanted me to go to an interview about it, i said exactly everything that happened and then decided to ban me and delete my account, im 19 and over a year later i have a file against me and being blacklisted without being charged by the police and i can’t make a single account with a mainstream bank and stuck with norwich credit union, i live in a hostel and i have mental health issues and unable to get my own place, my hostel has told me i’m able to live by myself and live independently but hsbc has put a unreported file against me and stopped me from living a normal adult life and i’ve lately been struggling to keep up on life cause i feel like i can’t do anything more because of hsbc putting a false file against me without being charged or spoken to the police, if i couldn’t of made a bank account with norwich credit union i believe i would have committed by now and only on a thread right now, i wish to have the file removed and wish to sue hsbc if i could.

Really nice bank and really nice and helpful staff..

Its not just this place, but all of HSBC. Totally useless
