Very nice family run 14 room hotel with restaurant. Opened 3 months ago so very clean and well decorated. Our room was also very nice, no wardrobe, but this may be due to only staying one night so not a problem. Extremely lovely toiletries provided, showing a lot of thought had been given and very fluffy towels. Restaurant had a good menu and a good breakfast on offer. Situated in a very pretty and quiet village and perfect for walkers.

Had our first Sunday Roast here today and weren't disappointed, from the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our seat in the beautifully decorated bar area.
We were served promptly and with a warm friendly smile from Emily, my partner and I had the roast beef as did our 6 year old daughter and can honestly say it was delicious, so much so my daughter left none.
The selection of deserts also went down well and the afternoon could not of been better, set in the a beautiful area of the south downs national park.
I could not think of a nicer place to enjoy great food in a family run hotel who are obviously passionate and professional in every way,
see you again soon,
David and Emma

A group of us had a fabulous Sunday lunch at the Nest. The staff were efficient and friendly, the food and drink delicious.
Loads of gluten free options.
Recommend: Cherry sour cocktail, crispy calamari rings, the roasts and the plate of small desserts.

Great family-run hotel in the lovely South Down national park. Emily managed everything perfectly and our party of ten all had a great time.

Emily’s brother Jack turned up to serve drinks behind the bar but although charming and good at pulling a pint, it was Emily and her parents who deserve the plaudits 😀

Good place to stop if walking the South Downs Way. Restaurant closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays, but available for residents. Room a bit tight on space, but OK for one night. Clean, modern. Food very nicely cooked and presented. Good value

Lovely village with lots of history. Room was ok but not sure about the roll-top bath I got stranded in or the toilet not being enclosed. Now charging for full English breakfast but that is a sign of the tough times we are in.

We stayed at The Nest for one night whilst riding The South Downs Way. The staff were really helpful and happy and you could tell they were proud of what they did. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. They also had secure bike storage which for us was a must. Will definitely be back next year with the cycling group.

We popped in after a day of mountain biking at Queen Elizabeth country park, looked inviting so gave it a try! Plenty of parking, spotlessly clean and well decorated, very friendly staff - gorgeous food. Wish it was my local. Congratulations guys this is a destination pub / restaurant/ hotel and we will be back.
