Absolutely fantastic....Took our last minute booking and when i say last minute we rang and arrived ten minutes later. Welcomed by Ali the manager in the car park and helped us with our luggage. After a drive of more than 3 hours, lovely to meet such a friendly helpful person.

Despite last minute they booked two rooms next to each other.

Beds very comfortable, AC in room which was a god send.

Breakfast cooked fresh, and it was unlimited.

Overall, everything u want from a guesthouse, friendly, helpful. We felt very looked after...Next time in that part of London will definitely be staying at Crompton Guest House.

Thank u to Ali and the team

The worst property/guest house ever. The owner and manager is running a scam. They claim receiving no payment despite being in cash for all the nights being stayed and made me check out early one night. The initial booking was made for 16 nights, however, upon check in I requested amending it to four nights to test the property and the experience. Even though payment was made for four nights, on the forth day, which was a Sunday, he requested payment for the other nights otherwise, I have to check out immediately and yet still he will charge my credit card for the remaining nights.
The initial booking was made for GBP60 per night, but he charged me GBP85 per night, in addition to charging high exchange rate taking USD 700 for four nights.
Not to mention, how dirty the apartment he offered me was. There were spider web behind the beds, and behind every table. I had to use tissues to turn on the heater, due to the dirtiness of the knobs and how disgusting they were.
Definitely, won't recommend it at all. The worst experience ever in over ten years of travelling.
A piece of advise, judgement based on photos is not the clue for a good hotel. Photos are deceiving and reviews do matter a lot.

I booked a room for two nights, for two adults and two kids. As soon as I pressed sent, I realized the dates were incorrect and called the hotel to confirm it was not for the evenings of 28 and 29 but instead for 29th and 30th, where I was told it was ok(this can be confirmed with telephone records). The credit card used was refused so the reservation was cancelled anyway and a mail was sent to me to tell me this. I phoned the hotel in the morning of the 29th to confirm all was still ok with still turning up that day for me and my family. I was informed it was and there would be no issue for us. When I arrived, myself, my wife and two children turned at the reception. As the four of us stood there, the guy ( named Alaska), asked for payment of 160 GBP which was given, although we only had 150 GBP on us at the time ( we were prepared to pay 180 euros, the price we booked for, NOT POUNDS). I counted this out, and he took it and placed it in a draw. As soon as I paid, his very next words were, “tell me, where are your kids staying because this room’s only for two!” To say I was confused is a little of an understatement, and my wife and I look at each other in disbelief! I said, excuse me, we booked for two kids and two adults and showed him the booking. He said we had not mentioned kids. The big issue here is that he could have said when we had arrived, ‘do you realize this room’s only for two and you will need to rebook a larger room,” and we would have understood and paid extra, but the fact was, he waited until we passed the money before saying we needed another room. Not a larger one, another one!! I said to him, “ oh, you waited until we passed that money over before bringing this up, that’s a con!” We asked for the money back (our actual reservation was already cancelled although originally, we were still hoping to use that reservation). He refused to budge and an argument took place where I said I would take my money back, after which he gave us a larger room. We went out for the day and on returning, an argument started again and with agreement from both sides, the police were called ( from his point that I was using threatening behavior, and from my point that they were being unreasonable and I wanted my money returned). The owner refused our funds to be returned even though the police agreed that was the correct result, and even refused a receipt. Although there is no receipt, the policewoman has a video of me counting out the money and handing it over and they say they will agree to show this. The police were totally on our side and said they were being totally unreasonable. I will say that if they had said there was a problem before we made any payment, then we would have paid any extra for the correct room but these people conned us into paying before telling us in the hope to con us into paying for two rooms rather than an upgrade. We are reasonable people who understands the need for businesses to make a profit, but to con your way to that conclusion is an absolute outrage. Also, these people lied in their statement to the police in how they suggested I acted, but I feel that the police understood the real situation and even suggested that the owners were not the best of people to be dealing with. We were offered to stay one night, after the police intervention but we decided it was just not worth the stress and we asked to be escorted out, to ensure the owner opened the gate for us. I will add that the photos used in the advert are no way in relation to this dirty place with cigarette burns on every surface, including around 6 in the sink alone, although that had no real sway in our decisions. A terrible, terrible hotel, with terrible owners, in a filthy location

Location is great for Heathrow airport if you're traveling by tube. Bed was very comfortable and I slept really well. However, my shower the next morning was less pleasant, when I unfolded the towel and found it covered in hairs that were definitely too long to be mine. I wondered if the towel was actually used and had been left behind by mistake.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst at an event at Twickenham stadium. Just over 10 minutes to the stadium which was handy and secure, gated parking (extra £10 per night) round the back of the hotel. Room was clean and the manager really friendly however my television didn't work properly, the shower wasn't very powerful and I don't think the bin bag in the bin in the toilet had been changed, only emptied. I had a poor night sleep on the second night due to what sounded like a fan outside my bedroom window going off at 5am and noise of the aeroplanes.

Service was great, but the furniture was dated n' torn. Two lights were broken, the chair armrest was broken. The desk in glass was cracked, the leather foot of the bed was torn. My room is in a serious need of an upgrade, at least for this price level. The price I paid got me a 5 star hotel in Madrid last week.

If I could give -5 star, I would give so. This hotel is a trap basically, especially when all others are fully booked around the airport. The sheets on the bed were really dirty and unchanged, the wall papers were torn, and the whole room was filled with some wierd indian smell. The kettle was not functioning and the body wash was unlabeled old bottle with mud like slurry inside. We have fallen into this trap as tourists. Please be cautious!!!!!

The worst "4*" I have ever stayed in.
Do not expect this to be of 4* quality.
When I got there I had to phone up reception and wait in the cold for them to come and check me in..
Once I was finally in the room was very dated; every mirror was cracked; there were stains on curtains and bed linen; the bed was rock hard and uncomfortable; the bathroom window frame had rotted so it wouldn't close properly and was just letting all the cold air in from outside.
If you are looking for somewhere to sleep after a few beers then maybe this will do the job for you, but do not expect it to be a comfortable pleasant space to spend your time
