Absolutely amazing. Very clean, quite and comfortable. The perfect location. The best lodge I've ever been to. The owner is so friendly and a nice person. The staff are helpful as well and they do their jobs perfectly. The backyard is wonderful in the morning time. The breakfast is very good even more than expected. I do really miss this place. I'll stay in this lodge for sure if I've ever been to Northampton again. It really exceeded our expectations. It's highly recommended. Cheers!

Do not go here. First and last time. It seemed like a half way house/bail hostel. Cheap furniture that was broken or had torn fabric. Only one socket so had to plug kettle in placed on the floor. Quite disgraceful. Manager very rude. They had a plumbing/drain issue which we we informed of by the manager who appologised and was initially pleasant. He asked if we could delay our arrival then asked if he could find us another hotel. We said yes to both requests then he took an online deposit off me then rang again to say problem was sorted but was giving us a different room!! Our bathroom stank..it was too late to change hotels late in the evening so we used the bathroom as little as possible. I spoke to the manager on the phone the next morning to say there was still a plumbing/drain issue and asked for some money back as we had not been able to use the shower and were holding our breath to enter the bathroom. Manager rudely interupted me and shouted over me. He said he would come and check the bathroom. We waited and waited..he did not turn up or ring or refund any money.
Unprofessional, rude man. Do not stay here.

Very disappointed.. said breakfast was included but wasn't, the venetian blinds were broken, the window only had half a curtain, 1 towel between 2 people, no bottle of water, no hair dryer supplied and no spoon with coffee/tea making facilities. The only good thing is that it was clean and the shower was lovely.

Good price. However I arrived my room was not ready, but the owner has been nice and found me another one. Not very clean.
However, a phone call the morning after (there's no one staying at the hotel for reception), got the room cleaned for my second night. The first night, there's been A LOT of noise in the hotel itself around 3/4am. People arguing in the hotel very loudly.

Upon arriving to the location we were told that breakfast would not be served due to COVID, which is fine, however we had already paid for the breakfast, when asking about a potential refund, I was told at reception that they had kept our booking as a good faith gesture as it was Moto GP weekend, they had considered phoning to cancel our booking as we had paid the not yet inflated price for the room. I do not think that was at all fair to be told considering we had booked in advance for that very reason. Therefore we received no refund and had to further incur costs to purchase our own breakfast. Our room was on the ground floor right outside the communal breakfast area and not well sound proofed. We could hear all things going on including people arguing in the late evening. The WiFi at the B&B did also not extend to our room so we kept losing connection.
The room itself, although neat, was quite dusty as well as the bathroom not being thoroughly cleaned and the towels were small and old.

My parents booked this B&B to stay near a friend for a family birthday celebration on my recommendation (after researching and seeing good reviews), everything was good with the booking until the evening whey they went back to the room to discover loud, thumping music being played that was too loud for the tv and the doors of other rooms banging regularly with people moving around the corridors lots. They are an older frail couple and did not feel comfortable challenging any of it and staying there so they left and went back to our friends. The owner was not sympathetic to their cause and they did not receive any money back.

After entering our room, the entire bedroom and bathroom reeked of smoke. The hostess, who showed us to our room only apologised before stating, “We have a no smoking policy, but people still smoke here”. After noticing there was only a single towel in the 3 bed room, she went to fetch another towel. The towel itself was old and looked like something you would use for your dog. It had holes in it and was not fit for guests. A single roll of toilet paper was left in our bathroom and it was stained yellow on the bottom of the roll (I’m assuming from the continuous smoking in the room). We also paid an additional £40 for breakfast, however, we never received this and were not refunded. The owners reasoning for this was because they were going to call us to cancel our rooms, but instead they would take the £40 as compensation. According to them, they didn’t know it was the week of the MotoGP, so when we booked our rooms, they hadn’t increased their prices on the rooms. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The accommodation was reasonably priced and our booking included breakfast, however upon arriving we discovered that due to Covid the breakfasts were no longer being served.

When asking the owner about a refund for our pre-booked breakfasts, they mentioned that they initially hadn't realised that it was MotoGP weekend and were considering cancelling our booking, as we had booked in advance and received the lower room rates as opposed to the higher rates they had planned to use for the MotoGP - this was however the reason we booked in advance. Their conclusion was that our pre-booked breakfast was now their additional compensation as a sign of good faith for allowing us to keep our booking.

We stayed on the ground floor, and the room's door had a gap at the bottom large enough to fit my fingers in, so all the noise going on outside our room was clearly heard from within.

Further, the bathroom's shower only had one temperature which was not adjustable as the knob was broken. We therefore had a choice to occasionally splash ourselves with the shower water or be boiled alive if we stood underneath the shower fully.

Suffice to say, we will not be staying here again, and do not recommend this B&B unless you are looking for poor service and a bad night's sleep.
