We stayed in the double room. It is excellent. Absolutely spotless very comfortable and looks out on to a lovely garden. The breakfast was first class good quality perfectly cooked and the servings were more than generous.
The owner was friendly and very helpful.
This is the best b n b we have ever stayed in.
We will definitely stay again.

Brilliant cafe in beautiful surroundings with a very very well planted and pretty garden. Bit windy in the garden but it's near the coast. It's a lovely old railway station that just couldn't be nicer. All the history is here. You can holiday here. The owner who does the cooking comes and chats. His salads are incredibly tasty. I can't wait for an excuse to go here again. Been a few times now. The bacon butties are divine. Very very reasonable prices. It's on the cycle track to Whitby, an old railway line. Clean place and nice clean toilet. A lovely dog and some cats live here. It just could not be more practical, useful, friendly, great value and lovely if it tried!! Well worth a visit.

We stayed at the Old Goods Shed which is situated next to the The Station House Tea Rooms. Incredibly clean and well furnished. We've stayed at quite a few places around North Yorkshire and this has to be one of our favourites. The couple who own it are very friendly and helpful. Right outside you have a public foot/cycle path where the old train track used to be. Thanks very much.

Really disappointed!! 2 for the scenery. My husband decided to treat me to afternoon Tea at Cloughton tea rooms today as he had taken his mum recently and really enjoyed his visit. Unfortunately today he lost patience and walked off. We sat for what must have been 40 minutes waiting to be served. It wasn't busy, there were empty tables and 3 couples waiting. Two girls were waiting on tables and it was as though they were in a trance. There was no efficiency at all, tables were waiting to be cleared and yet they moved in slow motion gaping around appearing every now and then with a tray. A couple came up to us and said they had to call a girl over as they had waited so long. So my husband giving them the benefit of the doubt gave them a bit longer and I attempted to move the dirty pots that were our table into a neat pile so that they could see we were waiting and the dishes weren't ours. Eventually my husband got up and went inside to ask for someone to take our order. The girl he spoke to wandered out with an empty tray and starting looking around maybe for us we don't know, we were sat on the upper terrace, not once did she look up there for us. Another man raised he arm and caught her attention and she went to serve him and his wife. The other waitress came out and started to serve another table who had just arrived at which point my husband got up and walked off. I tried to stop him but he had lost patience by now. As I walked out another couple walked into the garden and walked promptly back out again. I asked why they were leaving and they replied that the place had no life there was no spark in the serving girls at all. It is a beautiful setting and the food I understand is nice but on this occasion I can't comment unfortunately. The staff need to train the girls how to work more efficiently or they will lose sales. We shan't be returning I'm afraid.

I have just spent a week at the Station House, staying in the Ticket Office.
The overall comfort and peace is wonderful.
The room is warm, light and spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed and lots of storage space. There is a large, modern en-suite shower room and a beautiful garden to enjoy.
Steve’s breakfasts are delicious feasts.
Guests have complete tranquility and privacy and the accommodation is self-contained.
It is superb value.
In addition to all this is the glorious beauty of Yorkshire on your doorstep.
No wonder guests return time after time.

A truly wonderful experience. Barbara and Steve so kind and you get a great welcome from all the four legged furry friends. We visit as much as we can to visit a quiet, beautiful part of North Yorkshire - you can walk to the cliffs and the accommodation is so comfortable especially in the Old Goods Shed where you can relax and unwind. Thank you for looking after us Rob and Anita Hill Ashbourne.

We stayed here for two weeks at the old goods shed . It's a self accommodation owned by the owners of the station house. We had a lovely time there nice and quiet . Steve the owner was great and took care of of us by changing the towels and bed linen. We'll worth a visit as there are alot off place to get to from here.
