A great location and even better welcoming from a wonderful host.

Very clean and fresh rooms, great selection of refreshments and a great selection on the menu for breakfast.

Great walks on the doorstep and situated in perfect location for Dumfries and other major destinations.

Very reasonably prices room, the owner is very friendly and helpful, and they have a place to store pedal bikes.

I had a fantastic stay at Douglas House. I was well looked after, the room was great and I was very comfortable at the end of the working day.

The Full Scottish was a perfect way to start the day and I felt really looked after during my stay.

Wonderful B&B with a great host! Beds are very comfortable and breakfast was PERFECT! Location could not be better: only one block away from a huge park (great for dogs) and even closer for 50 kW electric vehicle chargers. Owner has wonderful food and activity suggestions and is simply lovely. We will be returning for our next visit to Castle Douglas!!

Superb large lovely rooms,fab super king beds, amazing bathroom with a bath that my six foot four frame could submerge my shoulders. Topped off with a fantastic breakfast. So quiet at night. Loved it.
