The Bikeman

I arrived today with a flat tire in my deutch bike on my way to school run and they are very efficient, kind and their prices were good. While I was getting my tire fixed they helped a lady fix her handle in one minute and didn't even charged her. I would definitely go again.

Cannot recommend this bikeshop the least bit.In fact I would recommend everyone to stay far away from it. My experience is that they try to take advantage of your lack of knowledge as much as possible instead of really trying to help you.
I went there regularly for a year or so because, at first, it seems cheaper than most other shops in Cambridge and it is very central and close to my department. However, whenever I went there and got something fixed it did take no more than a couple of days or, if I was lucky, some weeks before the very same trouble reappeared. They fixed a flat tyre, two days later it was flat again (three times in a row! Honestly!). They replaced my chain and readjusted my gears, two weeks later it snapped again. They replaced my brake cable and it snapped again. And that's where I finally lost patience because that's really FREAKING DANGEROUS. In total I must have pumped a 100 quit or so into that bloody shop before I realized that they must have been ripping me off. That, in fact, they are making money by ripping off students and counting on them to come again because their shop seems so cheap. They never really advice you and try to find the, in the long run, cheapest solution for you, which you would expect from someone of course, who cares for his customers. Instead they simply sell you the quick, at the face of it cheap fix without resolving the real issue. Then they only use the worst of materials etc. pp. Arrggg I'm so angry that I could keep writing for ever, when really all I want to say is
DON'T GO THERE! Just don't!

Discourteous, dishonest and borderline ripoff artists. I would avoid them if you can else you'll end up being overcharged horrendously. Having used them for repairs which ended up costing twice as much as it would have elsewhere, and having also attempted to sell their own bike back to them (purchased for £120, and was offered only £5 for it just three months later (returned due to no longer being needed), and later sold second hand for £80) I can confidently say that this was not a bad day for them, but rather a dodgy approach to business.

Excellent service. This was my first time using The Bikeman and I would definitely go back for any future work. My bike had been neglected for several months and had multiple issues, which were quickly diagnosed and fixed within the day at a reasonable price. It is a pleasure to ride now, thank you!

Decent place in the centre of Cambridge for your cycle repairs. Slightly on the expensive side.

Went here to get a tire repaired quoted me £45, went to a different shop and got it done for £15. Super overpriced

Worst experience I have ever had. Went there for my flat tyre, charged ￡15. He can NOT find out what caused the flat tyre, which resulting in my second and third flat tyre, all within 2 days after his repair. Finally I found out the leaking point in which there is a glass with the help of water and get it fixed in another shop. He even didn't try to find where is leaking and what is inside the outer tyre.

they fixed my bike after five other places had told me they couldn't, so am very happy. i thought they were excellent. good job guys.
