Avenue Cycles

Thought I would try Avenue Cycles for my bike's annual service because I live nearby. I'm delighted with the result (and the very fair price for the work). The bike has had a dodgy gearshift for years - it was stripped down, cleaned and lubricated and is now good as new. Will definitely go back for repairs and service in the future.

A small repair shop which caters for all kinds of bikes. The guy does a fantastic job. His prices are fair and he really knows his stuff and spots most parts and problems in just a glance. Been going here for a few years now, and have had to use some other place on occasion (for example when my gears mashed and I was stuck with the bike at the other side of town), but I've not found anywhere better, or friendlier.

Really friendly service, fixed my issue with my back tire. Cares about your issue and prices are fair. Would recommend.

Very good service, wanted my brakes fixing not he did it no problem,very knowledgeable- too if it can be fixed he will fix it will definitely be going back!

I called Avenue Cycles to enquire about a quote as my rear tyre kept on deflating, I assumed it was the valve.
We agreed that I would take my cycle to Avenue Cycles after work and collect it the following day.
On arriving Avenue Cycles took a look at my cycle there and then...
It was raining! Horrible evening.
When I said what I thought the issue was i.e. the valve as air was escaping, Adrian explained that the air would release slowly if valve related.
Adrian then proceeded to check the rear tyre and said we may as well do it now (repair) as that will save you returning tomorrow.

I was taken back, not only would this save me coming back the next day but I could cycle home instead of walking back.
Adrian was very efficient and knowledgeable as he worked on repairing my cycle, he spoke about cycles, changed my gear to a more practical speed, pumped up my front tyre as well, all this the while fixing my cycle.

The customer service was exceptional and Adrian really met the need of his customer going the extra mile.

Honest and helpful...told what was wrong and that he could fix it ,but as bike was still under warranty I decided to take it back where I bought it...he charged me nothing for his time.
