I have been a frequent customer of this store. Their mechanics are decent and you can get fast service. However, their service rates are quite high and they will charge you full rates for every single repair no matter how small the fix is going to be. Honestly, this does not reflect the value of their service.

The reason I am writing this review is after a last service visit I felt quite sad that I was charged a full £20 'front bike service' after the mechanic fixed a brake handlebar problem under 5 minutes. When I asked how much I need to pay, the mechanic was nice to say 'probably nothing but let's check with the manager'. Perhaps unsurprisingly the manager said he should charge me the full service rate. Few weeks ago I already paid £60 for a tube change for the front gear.

If you need urgent bike service and do not mind paying extra, no problem. Otherwise I suggest going somewhere else.

Just picked up my bike from the great guys at Fudges, after being badly let down by Halfords. Fudges were friendly, professional and efficient. As for some reviews regarding price - for the quality of service its more than worth the price.
by the way my way my bike is now like new, stick with independents and avoid the big multinationals

Context: I’m just a convenience cyclist (for high road errands and slightly further afield rides to be green & lean) with a second-hand, cheap & cheerful bike.
The team at Fudges have been superbly helpful with everything from the service - giving advice on what was essential (and on what was optional/optimal) - to flat tyre repairs and recommendations for requested accessories.
I have never felt any hint of condescension and I am learning to love and care for my bike and about being a better cyclist as a result of their brilliant advice.
My commuter cyclist hubby recommended them to me, and I have recommended them to my teens and others now too.
Message to Fudge: Keep up the friendly professionalism. It is much appreciated.

Amazingly knowledgeable and kind service. We bought a bike and a scooter for our children, and despite being near closing time, the staff went the extra mile to fully set up both products so that they could be ready to use straight out of the door. So refreshing to receive such a great service after years of buying online only! THANK YOU

100% recommend! Top quality service/energy from the entire team. They are quick, efficient and extremely knowledgeable about bikes. Will in particular is a bike guru, finding a solution for every problem I had and fixed my bike within minutes at an extremely affordable rate. So grateful and will definitely be coming here again! Thanks Will!

Thank you so much Fudges Cycles for sorting my bike out! LOVELY and super helpful team. They also give you a proper, honest price for repairs. I've been horrified how much some places want to try and charge. Very grateful for genuinely caring to help me out! Lovely guys all of them! Thank again :)

I have been going to Fudge and Sons for the past couple of months and every time I have been welcomed and explained to what they will need to do to replace my tyres for my scooter until I decided to get honeycombs.

The employees are very kind always asking about me and my progress and I would defiantly recommend any and everyone in the local area to give them a visit.

Came in for a bottom bracket service and paid £30 upfront. When I came in to pick it up the next day, I was told the bottom bracket was seized and they couldn't get in to service it. Asked for the bike back and they gave it back, however they had put the crank back on at a bad angle and also the lock ring was missing, so I was in a worse position than I started out in. It's clear they took the job without having the right tools to do so, inevitably broke something and spouted lies when questioned about what was wrong to save face (bear in mind how terrible the news is of a serious problem on a bike to someone who loves theirs, when in reality it was a lie). I was not offered a refund - this shop's ethos is obviously to mug of as many of the wealthy residents of chiswick as possible who feel enough climate guilt to commute by cycling. Needless to say, went to a different bike shop and they fixed it within an hour.If I ever get a flat tyre in the viscinity in the future, I'm jogging my bike home.
