The best bike shop ever? Possibly!

Great bikes, friendly service and never up-selling, only up-skilling - so you can make informed choices about exactly what you do and don't need (and you might even get a cup of tea while you wait). My new Bristol Bike is whizzy, practical and the perfect city commuter. Pre/post buying advice and servicing has also been excellent, especially being able to hire the models you are interested in to really test them out - pop in and you will leave with a smile.

Bought my ride a month ago, Jake’s bike is of good quality and quite reliable. The staff bro was really kind and patient, pannier he recommended was really practical. Their bikes are highly flexible with a range of customization choices, the butterfly handlebar just suits me fine. Lovely Jakes staffs and my bristolbike! Ps. I appreciate your Shimano series and hand-made spokes

I was really impressed with the service that Jake's Bikes' completed on my bike. They communicated clearly what the costs would be and gave me some different options. The new components fitted are quality ones and not overpriced. They were also happy to take the bike back and identify a noise which was still there for no extra cost. And the overall result makes it feel like a brand new bike!

I've just had my bike back from being serviced at Jake's Bikes and I have been really impressed with the experience. The quality of the service is excellent; the bike feels like new to ride and the attention to detail really good; the pricing is really reasonable and honest and I was particularly impressed with how they prioritise fixing and servicing parts above just replacing them. It's the first time I've used Jake's for a service but will definitely be going again in future. Cheers guys.

I have been to Jake's bikes a few times now for jobs of varying complexity and have always been happy with their customer service, the quality of their work and their pricing.

They are always welcoming on arrival and friendly throughout which means I don't worry about asking a silly question. They are very explicit about their pricing and give a pretty accurate estimate before they begin any work. When they needed to exceed this estimate, when my bike was most recently there, they called me to ask if this was OK. They also called to let me know that my bike was ready ahead of schedule, and when I went to pick it up they ran through the services they had done and looked at the receipt with me.

My bike has always been a joy to ride after it's been with them. As my dearest possession I like to know it is in good hands and I think it is with Jake's team. I would strongly recommend their services.

I love my Bristol Bicycles! I have two so far and have really enjoyed riding them around London but also from London to Paris and around other places in France. Although they are technically hybrid bikes made for city trips, I have been with my bikes everywhere, from off-road, to mountain climbing, city riding and everything else in between. I am also happy to have a bike that is locally made out of good quality parts.
The team are brilliant and so supportive, thank you! Keep up the excellent work!

I recently bought a bike from Bristol Bicycles as a present for my wife, who was being very good humoured about riding round on ancient hybrid that was shall we say, about to get very expensive in terms of getting it back into reasonable shape (I'm keeping it just in case we get a visitor who wants to go for a ride but needs punishing).
As a resident of very hilly North Devon I was looking for a bike with a surfeit of gears (it's an elevation gain of 406m, or 1332 ft., 19km distance, to and from the nearest shops), butterfly bars, light, comfortable and with disc brakes. Try buying one of those off the shelf for under £1000. Which is why I was so pleased to find this company. The 'build a bike' menu is just brilliant and yes such a bike was built for well under £1000 including delivery.
Today she gave the bike it's first proper workout, and thankfully for my future is absolutely thrilled with it. Comments included - comfortable, slick gearchanges, very good riding position, light, agile and in general a joy to ride - so that's me off the hook.
BB communicated well at every stage, built and delivered the bike in 2 weeks which is as promised and were professional in their dealings throughout.
Being a believer in praise where it's due, have some praise. It's deserved.
