TL;DR - Amazing service, blazing fast repairs, and a great atmosphere in the shop.

Thursday night I found that my front wheel was rubbing against my break pads. Also, my rear wheel was untrue. Worse yet, my attempts to fix the break pad issue only resulted in me further damaging the bike (note to self: make sure you're unscrewing the correct thing next time). Since I wanted to bike on Saturday, this made me sad.

Asking around at other bike shops, I found wait-times of 2 weeks to be standard. Brick Lane's website said they offer walk-in repairs and try to return them same-day. I dropped my bike off at 10am on Friday. The mechanic was extremely knowledgable, knew what was wrong and the work it would take. I got a call 4 hours later saying that my bike was fixed. Amazing!

Aside from the quick repairs, I always love stopping by the shop. Everyone is very friendly, and they even have a scruffy dog hanging around.

Thanks for saving my weekend ride!

I turned up needing help changing my tyres and although the shop was busy with customers, the staff were very helpful. Jim went out of his way to show me how to do it myself and was on hand to help - just to help out a fellow cyclist! I don't know of another bike store that would be so helpful at the end of a busy day and with no booking ahead. Definitely will be going back for all my bike needs!!

Worst bike shop around, avoid at any cost .

Disgraceful service, first time they cut poorly the fork I gave them .
Second time bought a crankset on their website , went to pick it up and ask to just loosen up a bolt on my bike , they charged me £10 for it without telling me before hand. The job literally took 30 seconds .
The people over there don’t know how to deal with clients neither with bikes .
I’ve been cycling and building my bikes for a long time and it’s always good to have a near by workshop that can support with proper tools but you can find much better service around with lower price .

I purchased Brick Lanes own bar tape, was looking for something a little quirky. Excellent quality, went on like a dream. Looks beltin on my Liv. Delivery was super quick, I'd definitely order from these guys again.

Unfortunately lost quite a vital bolt on my bike as I was cycling through London, luckily I wasn't far from Brick Lane Bikes and they were open on a Saturday, unlike other nearby bike shops!
Super quick service, someone quickly found a replacement bolt, sorted out my bike, had a very pleasant chat, and wouldn't even let me pay anything even though I wouldn't have been able to cycle anywhere without their help!
All the guy asked for was a nice Google review, so I hope that this is a suitable offering!

Cannot recommend them enough frankly!

Has the potential to be a good bike shop but they are consistently careless and nonchalant at the cost of their customers' trust.

I've been a customer of BLB for more than ten years. But every time I've had bikes serviced here, BLB has messed something up. They've passed off second-hand, defective parts as new. They once returned my bike without the dust caps on the tyres. Most recently they took off my mudguard and lost it during a service.

After I called them four times to ask if they'd found it, and no one getting back to me, I lost patience and had to go there in person. They made wait for 30 minutes only to resort to claiming the mudguard was never there in the first place. Unbelievable.

They clearly don't value their customers enough to accept responsibility. No I have to take the hit and buy a new one.

I'm sad things turned out this way but I'll be using another bike shop in future that takes more care of customers and their property.

They're happy to sell you a bike but as soon as there's problems, they act like they're doing you a favour for fixing said problems!

I emailed them regarding a warranty issue over 6 months ago but haven't heard back to this day, my warranty has now run out.

This was my ever first bike purchase and the gears were out of tune, the lad in the shop knew this but still asked if I was happy them, as I don't much about bikes I thought they were good but they actually weren't. I only found out about this after watching some YouTube tutorials. Terrible.

You probably better going to a big chain to buy a bike, you'll definately get better service and they will actually get back to you after you contact them.

I would give them a 0 star if I could.

These guys are awesome. I came in with a popped tube for a baby carriage and they fixed it in less than 10 mins. We’re in from out of town and the tire popped on our first day here. The fact that they even had a tube in stock just shows that they’ve got everything. Great service, friendly staff. Thanks, guys.
