Mick is friendly very knowledgeable and there's nothing about bikes that he can't fix at a fair price. Beats Decathlon anytime.

Very bad intro and customer service, all I wanted was a certain inn tube and the keeper wouldn't hear my out (either because he was def or sarcasm or quick judgmental arrogance?) he didn't think inner tubes went bigger than 50mm, for someone in the cycling trade surely you would know they do. He finally got the full message what I was after and found a rusted looking valved inn tube for £4 I'd rather look elsewhere and pay more ..which I did for a much better value. This shop might be OK for simple needs for family and commuters needs but not all.

Took a wheel to him that needed a spoke replacement as soon as he found out I had bought the bike from another shop he seemed very disinterested and told me to “take it back to where I got it from” this is the reason why local bike stores are a thing of the past maybe if you do the bread and butter jobs people may come back and buy a bike off you. Me however I will not be back!!

Excellent Service when I recently needed a buckled wheel repaired. Friendly staff and very reasonable
price compared to other local bike shops

Highly experienced & very knowledgeable, may not be bang up to date with the super high end equipment and trends, but knows what's best for the surrounding area as a bike shop. Years of experience.

Avoid all the 1 star comments on here, he's a good guy and means well, leaving reviews like that doesn't help him and isn't good for his business just because he can't help you, or he's not the right store for you.

For the review on here about the broken spoke; well what he'd have meant is that you'd have probably have been entitled to a warranty free spoke and to have done you a favour like that by returning the bike to the original store it was purchased from.

I know how he may come across to people and customers, but there is no one better in Eastwood or Southeast Derbyshire for that matter with his knowledge, experience & recommendations.

You have to appreciate Mick.

Mick has been here for 40 years even Covid19 won't stop him safely serving the public at a distance. Mick helpfully pointed out how to use a tyre lever to me as i'd been doing it slightly wrong and he sold me a bike pump that was easy to use and a new inner tube for my old mountain bike. The inner tube was easy to change and did the job and the pump worked a treat. Very reasonable prices and local and open during a pandemic meaning I can ride my bike again! Thanks Mick! I can burn off some of those lockdown donuts now.

Brilliant little shop. Really quick to do repairs. Done a few little jobs on my bikes and will be taking another wheel in today for some work. I would honestly say for the people who left bad reviews. Its probably you, not Mick. I like him.

Great service always, I’ve been going to Mick’s since the late 80’s all my kids bikes have been bought (and repaired) here when needed. Repairs and service always carried out and ready for collection as promised all at very reasonable rates.
