Top stuff. Really busy... with good reason. Chris knows his stuff back to front and inside out. Still fitted me in with a build on a replacement frame. Highly recommended.

We are lucky to have Chris and his shop in Llangefni. He offers a first class service at such reasonable costs. We should all support him rather than going over the bridge. Well done Chris!!!

On holiday up from Sussex on Anglesey in the freezing cold at the end of March. Succeeded in seizing up and writing off my rear derailleur on my Ridgeback hybrid. So on April 1st no less I am in a bit if a hole . No problem when I call Chris at Anglesey Bikes in Llangefni and he is up for thechallenge, So impressed with Chris' approach and delivery on sorting out my bike as well as being very fair. No hesitation in recommending Chris' business. Thank you

Chris was super helpful in changing our booking at short notice and the quality of the bikes we hired was superb. We had a very enjoyable day in the saddle and would highly recommend this business. Many thanks!

This is such a fantastic company and Chris is brilliant. I bought a Volt bike from Anglesey Bikes in December 2021 and I have had nothing but support and help with any questions I've had over time. There was a tiny (nothing major) problem with the bike after a few months and both Volt and Chris at Anglesey Bikes had it sorted in less than 24hrs, with full support and kindness and no question at all that it wouldn't be fixed immediately. Customer service is exceptional. Would highly recommend.

This shop gets busy, so it's often difficult to reach them on the phone, but it's vital that you persevere, because you will need to give at least 24hrs notice if you want to hire bikes (bear in mind that the shop is closed on Mondays) and cycling on Anglesey tracks is a brilliant day out. Chris is a great guy, who goes out of his way to help customers. The bikes we hired were the best hire bikes we have experienced anywhere and the ride we did to Maltraeth would rate as one of the most pleasant we have ever done (and we cycle a lot!). Nearly all of it is on the flat, well away from roads and going through beautiful nature reserves / forests. As always, it is wise to do your homework first, so that you know where you are going, because there are lots of cycle tracks on Anglesey and it's not that difficult to take the wrong one. From the Bridge St car park next to this shop (£3.50 for all day parking) you are basically faced with 2 choices - either go to the top of the car park and take the track through The Dingle to Lake Cefni, or wheel the bikes through Llangefni to the car park on the Glanhwfa Rd (A5114) which is 5 mins from the hire shop and then join cycle route 566 (far right of car park BEFORE the little bridge) to Maltraeth. I would strongly recommend the Maltraeth route over the Cefni route, because it is in open coutryside and the Cefni ride is too short to use up a whole day. If you do take the 566, there is room for confusion at the roundabout you come to, with the big Ford garage on it, because the 566 route is not clearly marked at that point. Remember that as you approach the roundabout up the cycle path, you need to turn right angle right before the roundabout and cross over the road. The 566 route is not easy to see before you cross the road, because it disappears down an incline on the other side. Once you have got past the roundabout, it's plain sailing , through the nature reserve and on to the Joiners Arms pub at Maltraeth (no meals served, but they do hot snacks) from where you can explore the amazing Cob nature reserve and the Newborough forests (complete with Red Squirrel feeding stations). If the weather is good, it's a truly wonderful day out. Could the experience be improved? Yes. Before I contacted Anglesey Bikes, I was told by several people that it wasn't worth ringing bike shops on Anglesey, because none of them hired bikes, so it's pretty obvious that both the island of Angelsey and the shop itself could do more to promote cycle hire. I also think that some simple (but detailed) maps of cycle routes from the shop, clearly showing the way and highlighting some of the amazing landmarks / nature that can be seen, with approximate cycling times etc for each route would be welcomed by most customers. Other than that, it's the perfect way for all the family to spend a day - highly recommended!
