A few months ago I had a problem with my forks and the customer service team were quick to help , I then recently had a problem with my dropper and was super bummed. I got in contact again and the team was more then accepting. I got the dropper shipped off and now they’re sending it back fully rebuilt and ready for use all under warranty :D .Couldn't recommend using them any more 👌

Bought a £7k bike, setup was appalling, to the point of dangerous. Bars flipped upside down first time I pushed down on the forks, brake levers soft back to the bars etc. Complained and got fully fobbed off, wouldn't accept any of it, sent me an £11 part to make me go away, wouldn't recommend.

Used them before but never again over priced and unreliable waited 3 weeks when I was told 2 then when they finally gave me a delivery date they opted to use Royal Mail while on a 2 day strike

I'm not sure what you need to do get the team to acknowledge your presence here. 10 minutes of browsing, and trying kit on the kid, didn't elicit so much as a "hi".

Sure, the shop looks well stocked, but this is not a LBS. It's a cold, unwelcoming, web chain outlet.

Very friendly store, super helpful. The bike mechanic, Simon, knows his stuff. Identified a warranty issue with my forks, got them replaced in under a week!

Don’t bother.

Went in to buy a bike I had seen online (showing as in stock). When I approached the sales person and explained what I wanted, and that I wanted to buy through cycle scheme, they looked at me as if I had s*!t in their hands and asked them to clap.😖

So I ask if there any alternatives, to which I was told “yes but you will be lucky to get something in that price range we won’t have anything in stock til probably June/July”. Then they tried to sell me a different bike for almost double the price of the original bike I wanted to buy,(FYI I want full suspension e bike for approx £5k)

Waste of time coming here

So 3 weeks later I have bought a bike that is the criteria I wanted, and well within budget, £4200.
I must be very lucky. 🤩

So I thought to give this shop a second chance, I will go in to buy some riding trousers, gloves and a Camel Bak.

10 minutes into me wandering around the store (along with one other customer who is trying on jackets) one of the three staff whom are behind the counter arises from their perch, the same person who was sat there on my first visit. Must be the boss/local legend/know-it-all/MTB hero???? I’m not sure but the hierarchy of employees is stamped into this shop.

In my two visits this is definitely a first, I wait with baited breath, is this employee going to approach, or even ask if I need any help?

NOPE, must have been stretching their legs, the perch is occupied again.

With sagging shoulders I leave, none of the staff look up from the computer screen, obviously I’m invisible.

Won’t be back for a third visit

So I get it that this shop is for high end bikes/kit and semi pro+ riders, but a nod of acknowledgement to us mere mortals would go a long way into getting more custom into the shop rather than just the staff’s friends, and people who have more money to spend on a bicycle than a second hand car

I bought a Cube Stereo Hybrid from Leisurelakes Newport. Can't fault the bike or service at all! Absolutely brilliant bike shop. All staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. A special thanks to Dave for keeping me updated during the preorder process. 5* Service

I called yesterday as I needed some brake fluid .
The shop was empty, except for the staff and was met at the locked shop door by one of the staff.
I was more than surprised to be told that they didn’t have any, (it was hard to come by) whilst still standing outside on the pavement .
Thankfully, HALFORDS had plenty,
Hello It seems to me, that they (the staff) were in involved in doing something, that a mere small bottle of brake fluid was not worth bothering about. Or was it just being “a bit precious “ as I have not been in the shop before and I might add “will never “ go back.
The staff are very fortunate to be in such a high quality and very popular mountain biking area, as I do not believe the shop would survive!
