I don't support Amazon since it's a dirty, corrupt company, so I go to the shops to look for books, usually for my English course. The books are generally in very good condition; the ones that are slightly damaged don't bother me although they may bother other people. The lady who works there is very friendly and overall the shop is cheaper than Waterstone's.

A bit of a belated review as I was actually there a couple of weeks ago. Nice selection of new and secondhand books. Lots of local authors and from the United Kingdom and a wide range of non fiction books especially about Lincoln and Lincolnshire. Thoroughly recommend a visit when lockdown is lifted. I brought 4 books to read and wish I had brought more as a new lockdown had not been announced as definite at the time. I wholeheartedly back all the independent businesses and will be back once lockdown has lifted.

So I'm not one for posting reviews, in fact in 38 years this is the first review I have ever posted but I was completely shocked in how myself and my little boy were spoken to today by the shop keeper. I went in the shop as my little boy loves Halloween and saw a book about monsters that was displayed in the window. We hardly got one step into the shop when the shop keeper told us to sanitise our hands very abruptly which we were going to do anyway. She then very rudely told us not to go anywhere near the window and that the books we were looking for where at the back of the shop. She made us feel very on edge the whole time we were in the shop and so much so that we left. We were going to buy a book from that shop but I would not want to give someone so rude my money. I know these are difficult times at the moment so I totally understand safety measures are in place but it's not what she said, it was how she said it that was so rude and unkind. Another thing is if you don't want children in your shop please don't display childrens books in the window!

A lovely little bookshop. I may have had a preconceived idea of what to expect as I found the quantity and choice of books (new and used) a little limited. Still worth a browse if you are passing.

Òk for new books but extremely limited second hand selection, mostly run of the mill charity shop fare

So glad I found this bookstore! I can't believe i've been buying books from Amazon when this shop is right in the bailgate! Staff were very friendly and helped me find one of the books I was looking for! And there were plenty of books from my favourite genres! Was even happier to find out they can order books in for you! Going go be going here a lot more!
