Today's trip was my first to purchase from the Boston store after moving about 20 minutes away.
First impressions were good, plenty of parking, trolleys close to the entrance and seemed clean and tidy.
Unfortunately the checkout operator lacked customer service, serving me seemed to be a chore as she seemed to be mid conversation with a colleague as I approached the checkout.
One of my items had damage, looks like it was caught with the forks on a forklift. She didn't even inspect the extent of the damage, she just jumped straight onto the radio and informed the person that it was 2 chips. Yes 2 chips from the side she could see but more severe on the opposite side where the forklift had ripped a couple of sections. I received a small reduction which was obviously better than full price for damaged goods.
Apart from poor customer service the trip was okay.
Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the checkout operator

I have stoped using wickes in Boston ,and my wife confirmed my reasons having driven there from stickney this afternoon, I sent my wife ,as the traffic was really heavy my wife phoned asking will they have it in wicks as B&Q will take some time “ oh dear “ having arrived at the wickes store everyone was round the till yapping , all that was missing was a pot of tea & biscuits incredible, my wife raised her voice to be heard and asked for help locating the part , well the group stoped yakking this lady having removed her ear phones did grunt something apparently “ no doubt we’re busy “ the second individual was more cooperative and did show my wife to the area that had none of the items left.
My wife phoned me from the store I did advise her to go to B&Q there Martin being extremely helpful indeed showed genuine interest in finding the part unboxing and they had our business thanks Martin we’ve left a excellent review
So if you want service try B&Q. If your in no hurry whatsoever and fancy a brew take some biscuits and join the party at Wickes I

Popped in for some bits for a little DIY job I'd planned. Had to ask a member of staff as I couldn't find what I was looking for & the guy was very friendly, understood what I was looking for & walked me straight over to the correct place I needed to be. Good products & good prices as always
