Fleet branch hopeless and unhelpful. Other branches have not given a great customer experience either. Travis Perkins you need to look hard at your customer experience. I phoned and went in to buy decorative stones and your counter staff tell me they don't know about the product and are reluctant to quote. They wanted to refer me to a specialist who wasn't available! I've spoken to three branches and got nowhere. It's simple stones advertised on your website and sitting in the yard. What is there to know? How hard can it be to provide a quote? Please make the customer experience far more professional, empower you staff and encourage them to help customers instead of finding excuses.

They Left my delivery out on my lawn... they were meant to arrange a time that suited me for delivery all I got was a text to say they would deliver yesterday between 12 and 5 , I phoned customer services and she said they should have contacted me BUT DIDN'T....and if i wasn't in the would re arrange a delivery time... but no they left 2 kitchen work surfaces in the rain on my lawn.....

Staff are helpful, good quality materials. If they haven't got what you need, they often know where you can get them, or order in quickly.

All stuff great and good, but shop manager way under any line very dishonest guy with no respect at all!!! Clients taken differently and promises things, but no actions!!!
That "manager" managed to delay my orders and delivery for a month. Second order simple stuff also should of delivered weeks ago, but never came! Today I called and other person took the order and did the job correctly straight away how hard it can be!?
Boot that manager out NOW!
He is causing delays and budger fail for customers!

Got what I wanted but prefer Alton store, as Gary Drew there is mega helpful and knowledgeable. Travis Perkins should give him an award or his own store to manage.

Most staff are extremely helpful over the telephone, especially when taking orders for goods.
The staff seem fairly knowledgeable about their products which is good.
The downside..... On several occasions delivery dates and times haven't been met so when you call to chase the goods and you're told that someone will get back to you and call you back, no one ever does.....
Frustrating as hell!!
I'm glad it's not my local branch is all I can say!
Shame really as they let themselves down!!

I went to TP because my builder wanted me to use them even though their products were more expensive (e.g. Wickes (until recently part of TP) sell MOT 1 for £42 but at TP it is £56.81 - same bag weight). If you're buying in shop or C&C then you're probably fine but their delivery service is severely lacking (nothing wrong with the delivery driver or his service).

I get that they are trying to maximise the load on their trucks and they are in a busy period but there was zero communication on when the items ordered in store would be delivered (AM/PM) aside from a text message literally a couple of hours before the delivery - making it near impossible to schedule work days with builders until after the delivery is received.

Any attempts to contact them either resulted in unanswered calls or failure to return a call (even though they said they would). The team in store are friendly and do try and help but I did not appreciate having to visit the store 3 times to work out when one order was going to be delivered (delivery of the ordered items had been split).

I also do not like the idea of one price for trade and one more expensive price for retail customers (effectively they are ripping off retail customers because there is no difference in effort required to provide goods/service to trade or retail).

While I kept my original order with them, I have since ordered all other items from different suppliers.

Helpful staff, bought an 8x4 18mm thick ply board, staff had no problems helping me get onto my vehicle.
