I always find it pertinent to try to look online for what you require with wickes as they don't have everything you might need in comparison to b&q let's say. I popped in to try and find a particular size skirting board. I tried to find it on my own without success. The placement of the item didn't seem logical but maybe it was a temporary home? I was unable to find anyone to help me. Whilst I couldn't see the item I wanted to check if they ever had it. Online it said they did but it may have been an online item only. I tried to find someone without success so I ended up leaving to try and find what I needed in another shop. As I was leaving I then saw 5 staff members congregated by the door talking. They may have got a sale if they were present on the shop floor and ready to help people.

The Wickes website is shockingly BAD.

Saying items are there in stock only for you to find out that they aren't when you get to store.

But thank god that they have decent staff that help out with a bit of a discount for your troubles.

I've found the Team at Havant have been incredibly helpful when dealing with returns.

When I had ordered the wrong items (twice), Alan & his team would be chasing down customer service by phone & email helping to deal with this. They could have just said it's an online order, you'll need to call the web team, but they wen't out of their way & I'm very grateful.

I hope someone from upper management see's this & they get the praise they deserve

Visited the store a few months ago looking for a back to the wall close coupled toilet. I waited around to speak to a staff member in the showroom area. Vicky reluctantly stopped her conversation with another staff member to answer my enquiry regarding a display item. I asked if she could tell me the price her reply was. "If you look in the brochure you'll find it there! Needless to say I purchased my toilet at Plumblink just down the road. Today returned to the store asking about quartz worktop. Spoke to Vicky, she looked on her computer and the started telling us worktop started at £95.00 I said yes that's for composite I want quartz. "Oh sorry". she replied then proceeded to tell me the price of wooden worktop... I gave up and left. I can't understand why this person is still working at the store because she doesn't seem to have a clue what she's doing.

Aisles are well signposted. Staff are friendly. Parking is easy despite being next to Aldi. Prices are OK especially with a trade card 10% discount. I bought timber which is well stocked.

Good size Wickes with the usual mix of DIY, trade and kitchens and bathrooms. Tidy fairly well stocked store with plenty of parking. Very quiet when I visited but helpful staff and a good place to browse kitchen and bathroom ideas. Worth dropping in.

Hope you find this helpful 👍🏻😃

I visited this store earlier today to experience how trade customer are recieved and dealt with.
Currently I use B&Q Tradepoint to supply Kitchens, Bathrooms and Tiles. We use trade suppliers for large bulk deliveries (TP, Buikdbase and Jewson) but like the convenience of local DIY stores for ad-hoc items and to show clients display kitchens and bathrooms we can supply and fit.
The store was clean and tidy and appeared to have shelves well stocked for both trade and DIY customers. Sadly the carpark also serves B&M and Aldi so parking (even in the van/trailer bays) can be problematic.
I was served by Grace and it is because of our interaction that I cannot give a higher rating on this review. Grace, a corpulent young, blonde lady appeared to be more interested in talking with a redhead colleague than answer my questions. I felt the gym leggings with multi-coloured detail lack the perceived professionalism of the Tradepoint full corporate uniform and work wear (or other Travis Perkins Group business who wear corporate uniform) .
When I presented at the checkout, I was very dirty, scruffily dressed and I personally felt that Grace had judged me for this. The brief interaction was borderline aggressive and demeaning in places. No sooner had she barked a response to a question she turned away to talk with colleagues.
I believe the Travis Perkins group have annual appraisals of staff and I feel there is definitely a training need for Grace following this episode. I feel she would benefit from learning that when in a customer facing role, regardless of who you are (or think you are) talking with, you are the face of the whole organisation.
Grace should also be made aware that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! This book currently spends in excess of £9k a month with Tradepoint and £8k with other TP group businesses (Travis Perkins, Toolstation, City Plumbing, Tile Giant) .
I feel I shall close my Trade Pro account now if this is the culture of the Wickes retail brand and continue as I have been doing. .
