Bought a cistern float valve but either it is faulty or has been fitted incorrectly as it keeps dripping even though the valve is closed. Have had to turn water off at night until I can get back to Wickes

A handy store to have but prices not particularly competitive. I use it for convenience but would probably travel to places like Screwfix or Toolstation if closer.

Was with a customer choosing tiles and also made a purchase but got a parking fine I think 45 minutes is Dyer for that type of store even in Tesco's you get 2 hours. This just is racketeering by a parking company and Wicks are compliant with it

Avoid if you want to take your time buying hardware! These scammers are in cahoots with the parking agency. You wil get fined after parking for more than 45 minutes by a parking agency that doesn't actually send out the fines but instead escalates it straight to debt collection.

All good . After 45 mins in car park you will be charged unless you have a appointment . So if your looking at kitching / bathroom units tell staff who will book you a appointment straight away .

Really helpful and professional staff. No problem returning an item even though I didn't have a receipt. They found my transaction on their system and issued the refund which was in my account in 2 days. Great service.

As a new home owner and at the start of my DIY adventure, We needed a drill to hang curtain rails and needed help. The ladies at the till called for someone too assist me. A gentleman called Steve arrived and when we told him our requirement. Directed us too a number of options cordless and mains powered. Gave us positives and negatives about each. He then advised us about wall fixings drill bits and other DIY basics. What a service and delivered in a light hearted way with a bit of banter about new couples. New Wickes regulars created.
