Excellent customer service, from all staff. Great advice on products when I needed it and I am grateful that they recommended a bank account that provides all I need. I have been a customer for many years and find the staff in this branch to be particularly helpful. Highly recommended.

They said the inside machine is not working told me to use the outside one but to put money in the outside machine you have to put money in an envelope first the guy didn't tell me about it I just put money in straightaway and it got jammed. Then the guys said I would get my money at 2.30pm which is after 1.30 hour. And when the outside one got jammed suddenly the inside one is working and I would use the inside one which allows you to put money in. Anyway very dogdy not good experience at all.

thank you for your reply. Yes it got solved. But waited for 2 hours. I was feeling particularly uncomfortable because another guy in the queue said exactly same thing happened to him and he urged me to call you otherwise I might loose the money( if I just sit and wait for the money to appear and do nothing)So it didn't happen just once. And thanks to him.

Today I was humiliated by the customer service rep at this branch and left in tears.
I wanted to transfer some money and was advised by another branch to come in and do a CHAPS payment.
Upon arrival the woman was standoffish, reluctant to help and kept advising I should just do it myself via online banking. Understandable if the branch was busy, I was however the only customer.
After a while of trying to convince her to just let me speak to someone and do it in branch as I was there, she went over to her colleague and said ‘I’ve told her several times to do this on her online banking, but she’s insisting she speaks to you’. It was as if I was asking for a kidney. It was done in such an unnecessarily condescending way. You’re a bank – the whole purpose is to help move money! You’re customer support – you’re there to support customers!
I get it if they are told to push people towards online banking, but this is probably the first time in 5 years I’ve actually needed to go into a branch. So disappointing.
If that is a representation of how Nationwide treats customers – I will be moving elsewhere.

Did not expect service like this from Nationwide.
this is my second time was treated badly.
First time I thought is ok let it go but Monday what happened was so disappointed.

I want to deposit money on Monday, cashier refused to serve me saying that you have to use cash machine where two cashiers were free not serving anyone and on the machine four people were waiting in the queue and person was using machine was struggling to use machine on one was there to help.
But then I see one of cashier serveing a gentleman just walks in for depositing that was ok seem to be they didn't had any problem with him, I asked again why you can serve him but not me, very rudely she said That your account is self-service account,
I have this account for over 3 years and I always have been using cashiers never was told that my account was self service account.
look like they serving people looking at their faces.

Fantastic customer service. The manager of this branch makes life so simple and is Uber accommodating. Restores the faith in great customer service. If only every company had as good service. Thanks Fauzia

Ask the cashier to put £15 in to your account and she said they can't accept put it through the machine. Ask them can you put £5 in £1 coins they can't because their are not a Bank . The management need to wake up and smell the coffee. You go in to Metro Bank and they try their Best to Help you NOT LIKE NATIONWIDE , ANY EXCUSE NOT TO HELP YOU

Lovely young gentlemen was super helpful in the branch today. After many phone calls to nationwide expressing my concerns with no progress, he managed to sort my issue really quickly in a very professional, polite and friendly manner. Very efficient - thank you!
