Helpful staff

We have banked with Nationwide for about 30 years and so recommended our son bank there and take his first mortgage there. The advice he was given was plain wrong and almost cost him and his partner over £1000. The solicitor managed to help retrieve most of it and the manager eventually made up the difference with something for their added stress and running around (3 visits to their banks, etc). Dealing with the manger just made it worse as he never called back on the day we were told and it seems only irate phone calls finally got him to get out of his chair. I will be closing our accounts starting this week.

Staff always very helpful and pleasant, nothing is ever too much bother.

Rude and patronizing staff who seem to place more importance on personal mobile phone calls in customer facing areas than actually looking after customers or paying attention to them.

Opening times are a joke. Makes post about how they’ve extended opening time etc only to still close half an hour before any other bank

Really good experience here today. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
