Rustic Rhubarb

Delicious food and drinks from the best cafe of all! Lovely staff and very accommodating, especially to our dog who had some sausages for lunch!

What a great spot, a hidden gem. Food was well presented and delicious and was a dog friendly cafe and even had a jar of doggy biscuits. Lastly the staff provide a great service and very friendly.

Genuinely gorgeous food and especially cakes, wow! Tried a cake today (lime something) possibly one of the top 3 desserts I ever had. Staff are very friendly and polite, and the manager is an angel! Charming and sweet makes the experience even better. We ordered rustic dog meal, sourdough toast with avocado and the cake I mentioned above and some skin on fries. Fries genuinely tasted like potatoes which is an experience I only had in really rare times. Beautify taste and beautiful atmosphere and just really lovely food and customer service. A manager who shows that she doesn’t just care about her customers but also about her staff. Definitely will be there again. Highly recommended!

We went for a couple of days camping in Aldenham Country Park and next door to the Park was this absolute gem.
Outdoor and indoor seating (indoor with air conditioning, perfect for the extreme heat we experienced).
After seeing the huge salads and range of options we ended up having all our breakfasts and lunches here.
The owners Emma and Darren we’re fantastic with us, our children and dog.
The food was generously portioned, freshly made and beautifully presented.
The cafe is not part of the campsite, but just off the carpark near the playground.
They not only have the most amazing food, but also sell lovely coffee, cakes and ice creams.
As great as the food was, the service from the whole team and warmth from Emma and Darren made for a lovely experience.
Rustic Rhubarb would easily bring us back here, if only they could open on our high street!

I never write reviews but I feel that Rustic Rubarb deserves so much praise! We came here when we were camping at the country park, the food is incredible and affordable, all the staff we met are so lovely and welcoming which really makes the difference! We had a lovely server called Dion both days who was chatty and attentive. It is also decorated beautifully. I cannot fault the cafe at all, I live in London but will most definitely be paying another visit to Borehamwood just for the cafe! 😊

I love it here and can't wait to come back. Staff are so friendly, food is unique and delicious and I think it's my favourite salad place in London! My only request is to have more baby high chairs please as its the 2nd time I've gone and they all have been in use. Most of the guests I saw today had babies and kids so it would make sense to keep more in stock. But food and staff wise its divine. Oh and the cakes etc are all homemade and to die for...
*Edit* The owner thoughtfully went out and got more high chairs, so now the place is perfect! Definitely get yourself there for a delightful cafe experience.

How utterly refreshing to have a family cafe that doesn’t serve the usual frozen fast foods with chips! The Rustic Rhubarb is a new and very welcomed addition to Aldenham Country Park.

We tried it for the first time yesterday and were so pleasantly surprised. The menu is interesting and varied, the food is fresh, the surroundings are inviting and the husband/wife owners are hard working, lovely people who deserve every success. They employ adults with additional needs, and as the mother of a beautiful autistic boy with ADHD, this just warms my heart! Thank you! 💕

They have a 5***** hygiene rating to complement this 5***** review. We’ll definitely be back for more!
