These staff go absolutely above and beyond for everyone. They are all very polite and really can’t do enough to help people. Very considerate to the elderly always offering to help them get safely to their tables with drinks and trays. Can’t praise these staff enough. Other cafes and restaurants could learn a lot from the wonderful customer service
Food is great too

Never have I experienced such slow service. 3 people in total in the queue, 15 minutes it took to get to pay for my miniscule ice creams (at £2.50 each, 100% not worth the money) there were 4 members of staff, one could be seen cleaning but the other 2 I have no idea as the same lady serving was the same lady doing the drinks and everything. My ice cream had fully melted by the time I got to pay for it.

Great selection of food. From All day breakfasts to tasty salads. Staff helpful and friendly. Prices reasonable and not too long a wait for food.

This place must be making so much money they don’t need customers! Walked in just now, looks like they’d recently opened - was looking forward to some breakfast while I waited for my car to charge, stood at the till alongside another customer who was being chatted the staff - I counted 3, all of whom completely ignored me standing in plain sight while they chatted away - just a normal ‘I’ll be just a minute’ would have done - after 5 minutes being ignored I walked out and found a much friendlier cafe in the precinct. Zero for customer skills

Whilst the staff were working hard at a busy time, Boswells falls short in some areas. Even allowing for today's inflationary pressures, the food is expensive for what it is. I ordered chilli and chips with cheese; the cheese alone was £1.15. I was kind of expecting chilli on a plate with chips, the dominant element, alongside. It all came in a bowl with the very melted cheese on top. To be fair, the cheese had a good flavour unlike the strange yellow substances served in many other places.
